Gilgit is very hot in summer, plus very dry mountains,so such a cottage might not be suitable there. Secondly, my experiences of these places are limited to tourism, so I am not sure if someone can spend rest of his life there. for naran kaghan, saif ul malook, lulusar lake best time is after june, galiyat,kalam, malam jabba, gilgit, hunza and skardu you can visit any time depends on ur mood, i meant whether u want to visit in extreme winter or summer, however for gilgit hunza Skardu you will have to go from Karakorum highway in winter, for chitral site i am not sure

naran kaghan will be cold even in summer however gilgit skardu hunza temp will be high during day time

if you wrote after my comment about murree , i was just giving suggestions that if anyone wants to visit murree but doesn't want to go there for crowd reason then army mess is a good option where one can enjoy a peaceful environment

I agree, but I visit Murree occasionally and prefer to stay at the army mess, which is also available for civilians. Try it, and you will find a completely different and uncrowded Murree

@BeautifulworldbyFarooq boss, my purpose of getting to hill stations is to stay close to nature. If I have to drive on metalled roads and stay in concrete buildings, I'd rather stay in Rawalpindi-Islamabad. 😀

got ur point, but if you have less time then visit the lipa hut and explore the forest🙂
