When you are putting the hexagons and pentagons do you get a lot of yarn to put it together?
You can you use a long piece of yarn to sew a few together in one go or shorter pieces and keep attaching. Either way works fine. If I remember correctly I used a combination of the two method when I made mine

Hi you need 12 black pentagons and 20 hexagons in total
How long does it take to do this, approximately? For someone intermediate in crocheting.
It depends how big you want to make your blanket. The length of your strips will be the length of your blanket. The repeat is very easy to memorize. I think easily a strip within an hour or 2.

If making this into a blanket instead of a sample, is the mutiple 14 with one extra stitch at the end?
Yes, this would make a small blanket. You just continue with the repeat rows until you have the length of your blanket and then work one final row

Do I have to used DK yarn cause where I live I only saw the number 4 yarn and the thick yarn only😒😒
Hi, any yarn will work with this pattern. Just use the appropriate hook for your chosen yarn 😊
