When you figure you have paid enough tabs & finally express the need for the relationship to evolve to a balance better aligned with incomes, and the girl replies saying she expects “chivalry” and the relationship ends, we are expected to handle her free will choice with grace. I and many guys have to accept that treatment & don’t demand an explanation “why??” So why should this person getting fired think her employer owes some explanation for “breaking up” with her? Estee is fun to watch, but she doesn't understand much about the USSR, Russia, or the FSU (including Central Asia, where she started out). The fact is she was just a toddler when she left, she doesn't seem to have had any substantive experience in large Russian cities that can be compared to New York (e.g. Moscow, and - to a lesser extent - St. Petersburg), she never really traveled the vast country, and now - in America - she only regurgitates the confused mish-mash / borderline nonsense you always get from the notoriously anti-Russian American media. The notion that you had to "flee” Russia in 1992 for political reasons is completely ridiculous... At that point it was all economic, the political repression typical of the USSR up to the Gorbachev era was almost entirely gone and disappeared completely with Yeltsin, and the notion it has come back to anywhere near Soviet levels under Putin is simply propaganda. Of course repression has increased somewhat since the outbreak of the NATO-Russia war in the Ukraine. But what do you think the U.S. would look like if our territory were under attack by proxies of a foreign Great Power using that Great Power’s advanced weaponry? Given what we’ve seen over the last 4-8 years you can be sure the situation in the U.S. would be much, much worse than Russia is today.
