I bought 'Jill Jones' when it was released in 1987. It's incredible.

It's too bad Warner Bros. & MTV didn't stand behind Jill & Prince because THIS is one of the BEST damn albums that came out of Paisley Park!

She was the real deal, she was a good friend. I was hoping she would go far. She still do sing great and looks good. She is legendary will always remember as a good friend. Glad I met her and hung out.

I was in the back of her album nice of her,, also, her penthouse when she was on the road, loved her dog Koo Koo who I stayed with in Manhatten. She was and probably still a great singer.

Always loved the simple but funky stratches on Portishead songs... do you know who made these? Can't find any info on who made those scratches back then.

So, Jedi was in theaters longer than I originally thought. I thought the film's original run ended on Valentines Day of 84, I guess it was sometime later than that.

The ONLY reason this would remotely be a "celebration" if theaters would show the ORIGINAL theatrical version of "Jedi". Because the Special Edition is freakin' AWFUL, but the original 1983 movie was AWESOME.

I saw all three original Star Wars movies at the Cooper Theater in Denver Colorado, the screen was huge to me at that time. Star Wars in 1977, Empire in 1980 and Return in 1983. Waited in line at least 3 hours for all of them. And I watched MTV from 1981 till about 2000 lol ! I remember Martha Quinn, Nina , Triple J,

I aw Bad Brains and Black Flag ....I cannot name all the VJs ....didn't care for MTV .,...did see Star Wars in the Theater 77 ? Or 78 ?

I lived in the 70s and 80s. When my sister and I were young girls we had a game called the Coleco vision. You could put an adapter onto the Coleco vision and play Atari games on it. One game that I enjoyed playing on it because it was easy for me. Was cosmic. Avengers. There was a game that my sister and my father would play called ladybug. You had to eat all the letters before the vegetables came out and ate you. It started out slow and then it would start to speed up and go faster. And faster. And you could also play donkey Kong on it 4:01

It's not about 'how' it's done....it's the creativity and musicality of it. My favourite example of 'scratching' anywhere. Someone can do all the most incredible gymnastic stuff but this one's got the most soul, the most wit of anything I've heard. Please people, if you've not heard it, find the Portishead track.

I enjoy learning about the life of Prince. I wish I were one of the lucky ones to be allowed in his orbit. I miss him. I hate that his greedy family got their hands on his music. They don’t deserve it & they’re not going to protect his legacy.
