I seen charlie a many of times. We would go every single year on vacation when i was a kid. Stayed at a place called Leslie's. We would walk down there and see the alligator. Brings back some great memories.
This was my first cruise in May 1981 out of Miami. Then we sailed on her when she was with Cape Canaveral Cruise Line before she was sold for scrap. She was a good little ship. I'm glad your family got to sail on this classic.
thanks..our first cruise was on the Dolphin...it was great....bigger is not always better..they had great food, entertainment...and you could really tell you were on the ocean...lol.....we stop in dayton to visit uncle and then got on aboard in Miami....good memories....how did you find my video ??
@@kerrylee1997 I'm so glad you enjoyed her. She's very special because she was my first cruise ship 🚢⚓. Your video came up in my feed at random, that's how most of them come up. So I get to see other cruise ship videos others have been on. When you were on this ship, I recognized all of the ships in Nassau. I sailed on them all, took interior/exterior photos too. Just like I did with the DOLPHIN. I totally agree, bigger isn't better.
That was Crystals Beach back in the day.The Corbett's owned Crystals Beach and White Lake Beach arcade room off of 701.I spent many hours in the arcade rooms of those two places along with Mar- kei beach and of course Goldstons Beach.Goldstons had the best arcade room.We are talking between 1972-1984.The years I live at White Lake. All my youthful years.
Have you been back recently? The lake has been ruined with invasive algae. It has good days where it still looks a bit like it used to, but it will never be what it was again. No one will say it, but I promise the run off from the blueberry farms is making it much worse. I've finally reached the age I could by a place there, and now it looks like hell. It breaks my heart.
I love white lake I grow up on that lake we would spend our summer vacation time there but I haven't been back in many years I would love to come back to see it
I would Love to visit this place but they seem not to have a regular schedule! So how can anyone make plans out of town to see this place! Now I understand that weather has a lot to do with that so if you have just that one area why not put a roof over it . I Love out door train and have seen many. But how do you see this place if you never know if going to be running or not ! It's a shame because I would Love to bring my Grandkids but if you fart in the wind and it closed when you drive all that way ! Nah ! Not going to waste my time!
I bought the original grain rosewood black watch. I was at a pawn shop when I found a new one in display. The wristband still had its seal in the original plastic protecting it plus it had plastic piece on the dial so the battery would not run out. I knew it was a brand-new watch that had never been used. I noticed the company sticker on thee box showing OG-6-013 I then realized I had a watch that was made during the first year that the company has started. Basically stating original grain June of 2013. The manager at the pawn shop said he had the watch for a very long time. I can tell the manager had some sentimental value for holding it such a long time. The manager suggested that I should keep it in the box sealed as a collecting item. I told him I needed a good quality watch to wear now not just admire sitting on the shelf collecting dust. I was amazed that this watch had been out for five years and nobody bought it. I had to cut the plastic seal around the band with a razor so it's obviously brand-new. The manager originally was trying to sell it for $179 but said he would drop the price to $120 since he had a long time. I told him I can only give him $100 for the watch, he reluctantly accepted my offer. When I looked up this watch online it was selling for $219 . So basically I got a brand-new watch for more than half off the original price. I feel special having this particular watch because it's unique being a first-year edition. The watch is no doubt a very unique with its beautiful quality wood and metal. This is something you just don't see nowadays. You always see watches made out of different kinds of metal, plastic, but you never see and watch partially made out of wood and metal. I don't know if this is the true story, but the company claims the Rosewood comes from Eastern Africa and they plan a tree for every one of those watches that are made by the company. This is the kind of watch that I can see the famous Indiana Jones wearing proudly on a traveling expedition as well as wearing it at a dinner party. I am very happy that the two owners that created this unique watch are still in business after five years and continuing to sell such fine quality watches like this especially in a tough competitive market. I hope to buy a Rosewood & Silver watch directly from the company providing I can afford it.
when did white lake becone infested with macaws? folks, even though there are no macaws, white lake is the best vacation spot and mr bill and ms carolyn are the best hosts. we've been to carolyns court and the cozy cabins for the last six years running. this place is spotless and beyond friendly. this will remind you of the old family vacations we took as kids. we bought a home nearby and couldn't be happier.....and we live in new york city!!!!!!! eight hour drive with a smile on my face.
