    You are doing well in your family run farm . We raise stock here in Aotearoa & wean them & place them in paddocks to graze on pasture & finish them to sales & send to stockyards or reps from silver fern farms & affco. Aotearoa have good cattle.

      That would be a bad idea. Cattle would just trample most of it into the mud. Good bale spacing is the only solution. The land would need a bit more rest before grazing. Otherwise this is the best you can do if live in the southern rainy winter areas.

    This seems very easy if you don't have to do anything besides insert and pull the CIDR (no shots along with the CIDR) The pulling of the CIDR can be done without even running through the chute with tame cows or the ability to just put in a small pen.

      @@jefflehmkuhler5666 I'm facing the same problem too much raining and not as many days of having frozen ground as would like. It still way better than having your cattle standing in mud on a small sacrificial feeding lot.

  • @shannonchase9948
    @shannonchase9948 4 года назад

    I am a firm believer in resting cattle for atleast 2 or 3 days after they come in whether it be bred cows or calves.. Only exception is if I notice one with a sickness or injury.. It just makes the cattle calm down faster and normally easier to put an through the chute when they've had those few days to rest..
