Looks like you had a beautiful day to film. I love that area of the Mountain State. Used to go to the Greenbrier Resort to play golf and stayed a weekend in '94 with my late wife for our 5th wedding anniversary. When I was working in that area, I'd always stop and buy chocolates at the Greenbrier Chocolate Shop. The engineer was horn happy as he pulled out of the station. 😂 "shave and a haircut, two bit!!"

Youd think locomotive #50 would have been one of the locomotives that Amtrak decided to do up in one of the 50th anniversary schemes. Maybe it wasn't due for a paint job/overhaul at that time. Anyway, nice video!

Oh those West Virginia hills, those beautiful hill!! I'll be traveling on the Cardinal this fall from Charleston through WSS over to Manassas Virginia to visit my brother in Winchester, Virginia. Then again, this winter, I'll grab the train south in Richmond to Fort Lauderdale to visit my other brother. So, Amtrak will be getting my hard earned buck twice over the next 8-9 mos.😊
