Yesterday January 7, 2025 my childhood home, built in 1907, was taken in the fires of Southern California. Altadena/Pasadena up in flames.
3301 North Marengo Avenue in Altadena CA now gone 113 years later.
My mom and dad : Harold & Arlene Malaby purchased this home and raised us three kids, Harold Jr., Mark and Neva. Fire has taken the structure but the memories we hold close can not be taken.
Special mention is the house next door where Lois & Freddie Shotlow built in 1964 also lost. We grew to be family to each other and remain so to this day.
