The mission of Arizona Women's Recovery Center is to provide services to women with substance use disorders, enhancing their lives through comprehensive, women-centered, evidenced-based programs. Thelma spent several decades dedicated to improving the lives of women and children in Maricopa County and breaking the cycle of addiction in families. AWRC Circus Camp 2024

What a better way to spend the summer than by joining the circus! Thanks to our partners with Mercy Care and Phoenix Youth Circus Arts, we were able to spend the week laughing, learning, challenging, and growing together with the kiddos of AWRC. For many children whose moms are in treatment they end up stuck in daycare or waiting around for mom to finish her therapy sessions. This week our kids...

A once in a life time ride on the Polar Express

Thank you so much to the Polar Express, Brandon Lee with Art of Our Soul, and many other donors and volunteers for making a dream come true. 100 of our moms and kiddos got to take a bus to Williams, ride on the famous Polar Express, and see the big guy- Santa, himself.
Thelma showed everyone in search of recovery they are worthy and deserving and recovery is possible! Thelma will forever live in my heart and thoughts! Our Shero was small but mighty! Brandon Lee has the most loving ❤️ heart that he reveals to others how he fought and won over the trauma. He is a beautiful soul. The women learn from him that trauma can be overcome. They have a new sense of renewed hope. God is good!
