so I just ordered this same one and didn't come with the external battery :( and I paid the higher price for the r version because it says it comes with the battery pack but mine did not. anyone else having issue with that?

lol, not anymore. At the time of this video, it was possible. NHTSA made Tesla disable this speaker while the car is moving.

this is great news I have a similar style e-bike but not a super 73, looking for some easy options to upgrade the headlight. to confirm, when you buy this headlight with the battery pack there are no splicing or extra cables you need it comes with it all? I will just have to charge the battery with some kind of usb charger?
Hi! There are no extra cables or splicing. Everything plugs directly to the Kanebilt battery pack from the headlight.
Thanks for the simple explination. I just parked my Y in the driveway facing the sidewalk and put on a Christmas music station on Apple Music. My neighbors that walk by think it great! I just wish I could completely turn off the AC/fan while it's in camp mode.
How did you charge the external battery pack? My headlight did not come with an external charger.
It came with a usb for charging. I’d reach out to them if your R version didn’t come with one

what you use for brake light?
Lovely headlight. My ebike does not have high forks to mount it on. So, I would need some kind of "Y" bracket to mount it. I wonder how heavy is the light. Do you know?

Yes you can
I just received mines today but there’s 2 switches one for low beam and one for high. Did yours come with a splitter? How did you connect both high and low beam?
The button had three settings and one plug. High/off/low

Also, i think the pedestrian warning system only plays when we back up ? When we go forward we don’t hear it.
It’s a static sound moving forwards. It gets louder as you go faster
Will it play while you drive ?
Yes it’ll play when you drive but it’s not as loud as the default sounds. We drove around on Halloween playing music
Is the headlight cable universal for other e-bikes too? Or, do you have to buy a separate battery or device to plug the cable into?
The headlight cable is meant for the battery pack that it comes with. Can be used on another bike as long as you can fit the light to the fork

I got it from licenseplatewrap.com It’s awesome. The DMV sent me a letter about 3 weeks after I ordered the wrap. It basically says it’s approved and I’m part of the pilot program. It’s legal here in California.

Any advice on where to find fenders for the R model? That's what I have and want to add some.
The only place I know of is FlowCarbon, but it’s pretty pricey. I got the Tire Hugger and mid frame piece from them.
Do you still get good mileage?
8-10 miles but it all depends on your ride style. More throttle = less range
So I am actually having an issue, the bike no longer moves, the lights turn on and I made sure I cut the right wire like four rims (checked not cut). I called a couple of bike places and they said most e bikes have a failsafe but my issue is that no one is having this problem. On top of the I got a ride in before I stoped and it wouldn’t go again.
Have you tried to re-solder the wire you originally cut? That should undo anything you had done. Also, double check to make sure no other connections became loose

I just received my light and I can’t light it on high beam just low beam and 6 leds don’t work because on pilot I have only ON/OFF. I’m really disappointed and angry with kanebilt.
Sorry to hear that. Have you reached out to them regarding that?
@@therandomvlogs yes after one month kanebilt answer that they change it because there was some heat in the wiring. I’m not happy with them

The mounting brackets have different slots for different thickness forks 👍🏽

Just tried this today and I should have done it sooner. I didn't think that 6 mph would be that big of a difference but I'm really impressed.

I’m not sure to be honest. My night rides are usually short. I know it goes at least an hour total. I just charge often in case I’d need it longer
I ordered the light but chose S2 model and bought battery pack separate.. I have the new ZX.. I should be good right because it’s all 3 pin right?
Not sure. I’m not familiar with the ZX. Same pin doesn’t always work because voltage might be different. If the ZX can take an S2 or RX light, then it should work
