Charlie sings Extra Ordinary from Pippen
I graduated from WCC in '49 after four glorious years under the founder, John Finley Williamson. There is nothing like that sound.
How many freshmen can sing like this?? I'm prejudiced, though, as I graduated from WCC in '78. One question, though: When did WCC choirs start memorizing their music for performances?
John Purifoy
Such a shame it cut off in the middle of that beautiful Lutkin Benediction.
Wonderful! Brings back many fond memories of my Chapel Choir days 1969-70 under Robert Simpson. if choir makeup is still the same today, remember these are all Freshman/first year students. What a sound! Who is the conductor?
The conductor is the ever so lovely and beautiful Amanda Quist
thebassclarinetman Thank you!
I picked the wrong school... Never should have declined WCC. I would have been in this :'(
Who is the arranger of this version?
I agree, my favorite version too. I sang this at Alameda High School in Lakewood, CO. God bless Mr. Wetzel for teaching us some really great music.
This is my favorite version, the one I sang in the Ohio State Fair Youth Choir.
Gorgeous!! I know that first word really blew me away (I was there - my daughter is in the front row)!!
Thanks for recording this!
Thank you for posting!
