Thanks!!
I got pulled over for license plate light being out before I even realized it myself, cops are thirsty these days
They got me years ago. I was almost home, pulled me over after I passed them. They let me go but they used it as a reason to harass me
I was hoping to see how to fix this because I have a leak right there and its hard to get to the joint
Yes, it is difficult to get to but it is doable. I did it. It didn't take that long to do. Easier to get off than putting the new one on if I remember correctly. Stay with it. You can do it in an hour or so
@@Tone202 I have a part 2 video up maybe that will help
Bro you sound like you working on the side of the shoulder on a frwy
@@nolove4usent man I never realized how loud it was, that was the sound of traffic the next road over. I guess I'm used to it
June 2024 It's the wiggling of the tank thats holding me up right now.
If you are trying to drop it, make sure the straps are removed and use the jack to catch it, kick the tank out of place if you have to. Make sure you disconnect the lines and hoses also
Thank you 👍 I was able to drop the tank. My situation is that someone drilled a hole in this 1999 Tahoe LS yrs ago. My nephew now owns it. We cannot find a replacement tank for it. I'm heading out o Pick a Part in Ontario CA to search for one. We live in Pomona CA Thank you again 👍
It's the same hose used on most GM trucks and SUVs fron the years 1988 -2000 or so. I'm trying to get the best deal online. I found one for $12 on eBay with free shipping.
Did you have to put a jack under the motor when you took the motor mount and bracket off?
No, no need to put a jack there, you are just removing the bracket for clearance
I thought it was just me. I took the spare tire down. The space its in makes it hard to get to. I didnt finish yet. Waiting on the rain to stop
I got it done, it wasn't that bad, but you just have to stick with it
Didn't work for me
If it didn't work for you I think you may have bigger problems
Hopefully you tried it multiple times. When I made the video it worked of course. But recently I did an oil change and it didn't work. My problem ended up being that I needed a new intake gasket. Hope this helps
Yep this worked thank you
Thanks buddy
Happy to help
Exactly the problem u made very easy u did help thank you sir
I couldn't reset it with my radio for some reason this time. I am so glad I found your video. Thank you
If you ever change out the factory radio this is the only way to reset it. Glad I could help
Do u need to disconnect the battery cables before u remove a coil pack
You don't have to, but the proper advice is to always disconnect your battery before beginning any repairs.
Have you tested them?
Yes! You do!
👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿you're correct not one video thx bro
Can’t believe how easy that was Thank you so much
Sounds really good. I got one for my impala also. Thanks for the review and info to help me decide. 👊✌️
4:20 back dome lights. Sending comment for save purposes
where did you put the ECU now that you dont have the box anymore?
Where did u get it ?
I ordered if from Amazon
Thank you!
Tyty
yeah this worked fasho
😂😂 that's the fuel pump
Wrong. The fuel pump is on top of the tank. You can access it through the trunk. Flip the back seats down and you can do all of your work right there
The evap canister is by the driver side rear tire under the fender
@@ghandihill7652 Yes, I know. I changed that also. There are 3 parts to the evap system. I changed all 3
Had no idea there was floorboard lights in the car😂😭
😂 who would know if the bulbs are blown and they never worked when you purchased the car? I had to search underneath the dash and found that the bulbs underneath the dash were blown in all my vehicles
can you send me the link for the exact one you bought?
Search Amazon, it's made by RTunes. I tried to get the link but was not able to copy it. Just type in short ram intakes put your year make and model you will have color options if you scroll.
Thanks for this video man I’m slowly building my 04 impala since I got her as a “problem child” but now I know where to locate the coolant sensor. U rock!!
Bro i spend 3 days tryna find this I have a 2014 chevy ur video saved me
Glad I could help. also it's a good thing that they didn't move it within that 10 years
Same just changed the solenoid but still having problems
Where’s part 2 and or 3???
What size reducer is that on the intake
I'm not sure the size, but I ordered it off Amazon. Just add the year make and model and it will pull up what fits
Thank you
You are welcome
Good looking out bro
Did you use the oem part number?
I bought the part from either truckpro, or freightliner. They were aftermarket, but I think the replacement part is standard
Thanks man
Where did you get it from? Do you have a link?
Ordered it off of Amazon. It was around $60
Is that the same one^
@@Lando000 same one. It is holding up well
Did the sensor help with your fuel once you replaced it ?
I can't honestly say, after I changed it, I still had issues, it may have been an issue but it wasn't the only issue. It had never been changed before, it's a cheap part, some of the symptoms I had pointed to it, and it had some crust on it and broke when I was taking it off. I'm just not sure if it was bad or not, I can only say that it was old. Do you have other symptoms besides fuel issues?
@@timlaw6070 my fuel hand goes up and down sometimes it’s not a huge problem tho I always know where I’m at fuel wise. My car giving me overheating issue only at red lights. On the highway my car is just fine. At the red lights my temperature rises I’m thinking my water pump going bad or thermostat or this sensor need replacing ..
@@itsyounqLO start with the thermostat. It's only like $8 or so, and it's very easy to change. I had changed mine before but I since it was so cheap I changed it again. Hell, change both parts, they are both inexpensive. The thermostat should fix your problem. After you change it check and make sure your fan is cutting on.
@@itsyounqLO sounds like your thermostat is closed. If it were stuck open like mine the engine never get up to operating temperature.
@@timlaw6070 yea my fans are working especially in park but I might change the thermostat and the coolant elbows because I noticed a leak by the elbows.
I got the same type of car but I'm getting no spark I've done change all the ignition coils & icm& spark plugs and the wires still getting the same thing this all started with just the a/c compressor
No spark in any coil?
@@timlaw6070 i haven't tested them since I've put the new ones in but as far as I can tell nothing the car doesn't even start hasn't for 6 months I changed a/c compressor since it snap off from the bolts replace that and the belt pulley was fine then I tried starting it but would turn over but wouldn't stay running after that had a diagnostic ran on from the dealership since they said it was my anti theft is why it wouldnt stay running which was my passlock sensor replace that then no spark after that had another scan on it they said ignition control module replaced that still no spark so I changed my spark plugs then wires then ignition coils still no spark had another say my crankshaft was fine but might replace that just in case then move on to my wire harness on the ignition control module and hope for the best not quite sure what to test at this point or how I tried a multi meter but couldn't fit the probes into ignition coil to test the resistance so I just bought new ones lol

What’s that silver part in front of your filter?
That is a thin layer of insulation. Im using it to cover the computer. I still have to remove the rest of the box and clean everything up.

My engine shutters and jerks back-and-forth when I do full throttle acceleration I change the plug plug wires and fuel filter myself as well I'm wondering if this is my problem. What are you looking for on the Ignition coil when they are sparking again?
Is your check engine light on?
Is this jerking while you are driving or when it is parked and you do full throttle?
@@timlaw6070 It's when I'm driving and I go full throttle
The check engine light does come on when I get it checked they say it's just miss firing
@@TreyWK it's hard to say. If you don't have a scan tool you can check your coils? Have you done that?
I bought the evap canister for my 2004 impala. It's under the rear fender behind rear tire near gas fill cap. Not sure if you did it wrong or if I'm doing it wrong
That's a different part but they work together.
@@timlaw6070 thx. Did your check engine light go off after you replaced your part? I just did the evap canister and my light is still on. I already did the purge valve up in the engine compartment. I'm wondering if I need to do the job you did
@@snakeclaw yes, it went off after I changed it. I had changed the other 2 parts already. What code do you have?
@@timlaw6070 mine is showing a P0446 code. Is that what yours showed when you replaced that charcoal canister?
@@snakeclaw I had that code. The only thing that cleared the code and made the light go out was the EVAP canister. It's not hard to do but you will have to lower the fuel tank. Once you change it you will notice a major difference in how your vehicle runs. Let me know if you have questions, I ran out of space so I wasn't able to post the entire job
Does the auto dim still work on your mirror?
I believe it did, but I have since had to change the mirror because the mirror failed at the joint, and at the electric connection
Think mine doing the same. It’s a short somewhere in the harness I need to find.
@@01wayne03 could be in the harness, it also could be loose where it plugs in. If that is the case, you can try to wedge something in there, but ultimately you will need a new mirror.
Nice exhaust system
Thanks for the help bro cuz I was sure there was another bolt somewhere

Hey man I got an Impala I was just wondering if you wanna post some vids of the exterior and anything that’s been replaced.
I haven't done much to the exterior other than changing out the headlights. Mostly engine work to keep it up and running
@@timlaw6070 I was just wondering about rust and paint
@@TonyMontana-pg1ew I am not sure if it is prone to rust. But a paint job would solve any rust or paint issues
Can you show me how to take the light bulb off the front ones under the dash
I'll try to make a video tomorrow. I'll also include the license plate bulbs. I just changed those tonight and I went LED with those also
Requested video is up, hope it helps
How did you get it out of the cable tie strap? Or whatever it is. Mines hung up
Lower the fuel tank and then cut the zip tie. It is very thick.
Strong scissors, or use a sturdy razor
Hey I know this video is a couple of years old but this video just help with my current situation man, love the vid. Thanks.
Where’s part 2 my dude
Sorry I couldn't keep recording. But what I can tell you is that to change the part, you have to lower the fuel tank. You can't take the straps off and lower it so you can get to it, or you can drop the tank completely. There is also a lip that hold the canister in place, you can see it until you lower the tank. Other that that, it's pretty straight forward, if you get the old one off, installing the new one is easy
wheres part two
I was having camera issues. I couldn't get a good video made. Changing it cleared the evap code I was having.
Could you explain how you finished lowering the tank?
