Why I love MA Scriptwriting
Просмотров 8247 лет назад
Hello! Welcome to my first little Vlog for Bournemouth University. I'm Luke Ackroyd and I'm currently studying a postgraduate degree in scriptwriting. In this vlog, I talk about why I love my course. Thanks for watching!
Wow .. finally, someone never drink alcohol, like me 😂
Thank you, that was useful .. BUT what is the difference between postgraduate and postgraduate taught?
So “Undergraduate Degree means Bachelor Degree” and “Postgraduate Degree means Master Degree” right?
Thx
why is the music so loud
Bro do do grad student party crazy like undergrads and do they date undergrad or grad school only about academics and boring
This is years later but still inspiring 🙂 I hope you're doing well today
Great content and subscribed! Would love hear what you think of our grad school channel. Thanks!
Hello I am from srilanka And I am here for some inspiration
I like your pandemic game in the background ;)
Hlo
The real question is, did you screenwrite this video
So when you master in script writing did you have to take like a bunch of core classes to in like math and science and all that or could you hope right into the fun classes ?
I want scholarships for a master in screenwriting
Thanks for the advice :-)
Hello mam, where are you from , I am from India 🙂
Hi. These Vlogs were focused on University in England.
Well BROTHER 😎 , thanks for reply & I want to ask one thing from you I also want to study in abroad which country would be better , I am a commerce student
Hi, sorry. But I don't know how to answer that question. I've only ever studied in England, at this one specific university, so I don't have the knowledge to recommend different countries over others.
Well ☺️ thanks , one last question what kind of lifestyle is their in England University & and it's would be better that you make a video on it 😊A humble request
hi luke great vid i have a few questions how did you get into these universities do sat meatter things like that im 15 and i want to be some kind of writing but not screen writing thats not my forte but i love creating novels short stories anyways main questins how would one get into a university that has things like creative writing and scriptwriting my end goal is to become a famous writer in movies and maybe one day move up to directing love things like guilermo del torro quentin tarrantino and much more thanks
Fernando Neto Hey! It kinda depends on the university and course you are applying for. Most of them will want a certain amount of grades / points for the subjects you are studying at school. The university's website will be more specific on that. They will probably want you to have been studying a creative subject, ideally linked to writing in some way, such as English. Alongside that, they want to see that you are passionate about creative writing. So, some universities will want to see examples of your writing. They might set a task, or ask to see a mini portfolio. Some might want to interview you instead. It's mainly to prove to them that this is something you are keen to do. That's the main thing they want to see in students that apply. I'd suggest looking up different universities and courses, to see specifically what they want Students to achieve (and to see if the course seems right for you). Read up online, send emails, go to open days if you can. There will be really specific courses like mine for scriptwriting, but also more general writing courses, that will probably cover different mediums like short stories, novels and scripts. If you are interested in directing, there are more media related courses out there too. Hope some of that was helpful! - Luke
Do you get work shops in postgraduate happen very often throughout the week?
TheInBindFable hey. It's probably different depending on the course. For my course we had one workshop a week in the first term, which gave us time to rewrite our scripts based on feedback, reupload them and then feedback on each other's latest draft again. There were multiple lectures and seminars each week too. In the second term, the seminars and lectures were still weekly, but the workshops became less frequent (one every few weeks) because we were working on bigger projects that needed more time for us to rewrite before each workshop.
but what's YOUR favourite pancake topping?
I was too intimidated by the interviewer guy to answer in the Vlog, sorry. I guess we will never know :( ... Strawberries and Sugar :)
