This was a amazing and different experience for us as we normally sail the Caribbean from Port Canaveral. Please forgive me for the ending, apparently I took no video after sail away and the time we ended up in the pub, then off to bed.

A quick walk through of Owners Suite cabin 12238 onboard Anthem Of The Seas. This was the first time we have won a Royal UP bid, originally we were in a Junior Suite. We loved the space, the extra bathroom and the large balcony.

Looks very claustrophobic

Honestly! What do you think about Virgin Upper class, tbe seat configuration and legroom? I don't really like it, seems tight like you said.
Very tight in this configuration. Much prefer the A350-1000 seats, and United Polaris. BUT it got us there, and it's better than sitting in the back for sure.
Did some one pay for your flights? Wow 4 fist class seats cha Ching. We are freaking out over the cost of 2
YES, we paid for them. Luckily we have good jobs!

What did your kids eat on the flight? do they have a kids menu?
I did request a kids meal for the youngest which was some chicken fingers and Mac n cheese.
Fantastic video, great to hear boarding was quick and your suite looked stunning. You had great weather, it can be hit and miss from Southampton. Nice to see you saw the iconic IKEA building that the city is so well known for. New subscriber here 👍

You get to use GPS on the diversion?? 😭 for us we have to follow out navlog with the MFD turned off, and then he'll get you lost somewhere then he'll say "Ok, we're lost what are you gonna do". Divert ofc WITHOUT GPS 😭 we have to use foreflight, VOR, and pilotage.

How was the bed in your opinion? I'm built about the same as you. You mention not that bad, and the duvet was comfortable, I'm just checking to see if the restrictive feeling carried over to when laying down. Thank you!
Once I got comfy on my side in a small fetal position I slept a good 2 1/2 hours.

Is there a Light in the Safe???
There was NO light in the safe,
I was with you on that same cruise, my experience was exactly the same. UsuallyI like to get on and then get food, make speciality bookings and maybe go for a run or swim, but in yacht club I was made to sit waiting in a room seemingly forgotten about. After the initial warm welcome at check -in did not feel like the best start. You’re not complaining, I don’t mean to either it’s just simply obersations of events reported as they happened.
Don’t think you’re being out of order for your few gripes. Yeah its embarkation day so the staff will be flat out but if the service is offered then it should be honoured. The towels scenario is a definite issue. Glad you had a nice time, Vituosa was rammed last week so YC was a great choice. Lots of people had major problems on your trip.

Thank you for the video! Just booked this stateroom. I’m wondering if you still remember the muster station for this room. I’m planning to book another room either on the same deck forward on the seaside, or two deck down forward on the same side. Hopefully they have the same muster station.

This was on the port side, but I kinda see the lighthouse if I was looking straight forward from the hot tub.

Hi I’m just about to start check ride prep, passed my written with a 88%. I’m curious as to how you studied the oral part of the exam? I’ve been told from my flight instructor to just read over the oral exam guide by Michael d Hayes. It’s super broad and I wondered if there was a better option to studying. Thanks!

Considering the $cost and all of that space I'm a bit miffed that the second bathroom is only a half-bath. It should feature a shower so that the master could be truly private.
With two little kids with us it wasn’t a problem, but with four adults I agree this would be an issue. Great cabin thought!

the parks here seem to always be this way, and this was a light day believe it or not.

Very much so, with two kids we cherish the extra space.

They let you use fore flight? I thought they made you use paper charts and a navigation log.
Yep, no problem at all. I had paper charts ready to go, but he never even asked to see them.
