Updated Phase Start: ruclips.net/video/4rRUNhu6zHk/видео.html Works for both sides, with east side you'd tank the hit middle instead of doing 2t behind (just usual 8:1 or 12:0). Start phase with staff on long range and then switch to accurate as per cycle.

Showing the leeway you have for sub 17 even with a very cheap to buy layout and bad rng with tekton and olm (VTV with very bad crabs go for ~200k). Can bring an extra brew instead of the anglerfish. This raid had somewhat favourable RNG on the 3rd floor but the 1st floor was really bad- 2 anvil tekton, slow ice, lots of scavs to get mushrooms, and no slayer task for shamans. When scything melee hand do you basically just prioritize skipping teleport special and tank the rest ?
Yeah, you can tick perfect skip portals based on when you’re scything melee hand where lightning special happens. (search RUclips or WDR discord for “world scythe”). Scythe is best dps so doing this is the fastest way to kill hand.
Why do you sometimes equip shadow during head phase?
The shadow has +20 mage defence so I switch to it when tanking olm's attack to reduce chance of damage.

Is this method better than 3:1 for challenge mode?
Yes, 3:1 is not tick perfect so this method is more dps if you can keep it up consistently. Although in challenge mode I’d recommend using a Lance and doing 4:1 to minimise damage

Fang is a 5t weapon so any method that uses the scythe could be used for the fang, but lance/scythe is better dps than fang so you’re better off using those if possible

Hey, just wanted to clarify about the description - does doing this start prevent the head turning middle for non thrall setups?
did notice when I'm running head with shadow this has happened a few times and was wondering why it occurs
@@coleboothman1158 Yes, assuming shadow hits, it should prevent it. There’s a small explanation in the description for why it happens; basically if when you’re on mage side after the long range hit, if olm’s cycle is null/special it will check the past 8t to see if hand was hit, if it’s an auto, it’ll check the past 4t. Because the long range hit is 1t before olm turns, we need it to be a null/special when the head attempts the turn
