Interior antennas could be integrated or add-on devices. Interior antennas usually relate to human interfacing and entertainment. Monitoring and controlling different items in car are one expanding section. As you can see, the topic of car related antennas is much wider than you think in first minute.

    EMC... Many people tend to think EMC as a testing in the end of the project. For that reason, most of our customers comes after fails in EMC testing when fixes are hard to invent and implement. More customers are using our services already in design process because they have learnt that EMC/EMI is something which need to consider all the time during the project. Early EMC/EMI work will reduce the panic and expensive fixes at the end. EMC and EMI designing is something you do before testing. It is series of decisions you make starting from concepting during the whole design process. In complex device it is risk assessment between bad options. Yes, in complex devices you often have only bad choices. It means that each of the decision needs a risk minimizing action which can be designed, analysed, and sometimes even tested in early phase. Each sub-area designer tends to make design decisions best on his/her sub-area, the EMC responsible designer can give an overall view and comments how the single decision affect to big picture and what are the best-known risk minimizing actions. Having an EMC/EMI support during the whole design process will reduce the amount of fails and panics at the end. Sometimes it saves a project even from total restart.

    "So you've got power and 2 way data, only on two wires, OK Wow!" This isn't exactly a ground-breaking "new" technology that these people have invented. It's not even novel. The old PSTN / POTS analog landline telephone system used to do exactly this. It supplied 48vDC and then used linear superposition, which is the process of combining the DC power with a low amplitude AM signal which can be detected at the other end using a DC Blocker (i.e. a capacitor) and an aplifier. Sorry to dunk on your product, but the way this sounds it's like you guys are saying you invented the concept of combining signal and power over a single pair of wires, when the concept has been around for almost a century. ... and by the looks of your trade-show booth, it also looks like it's expensive (for your customers, your engineers know it costs almost nothing to implement). Basically, this isn't new, and it shouldn't be expensive! It's been done before, at higher bitrates, over longer distances, even with inductive loads.

    I've just got hold of a 4-inch spectra 6 panel from a distributor. It indeed looks incredible, if tuned correctly that is. Here lies the problem. It's almost impossible to get the datasheet or user guide for these panels. For some reason the manufacturer seems committed to NOT let any individual tinker with their products, great business strategy. The distributor did provide sample codes, but not the dithering algorithm, nor any instructions. Which is a pity, because how you dither the source image really has a huge impact on the result, I have to figure all out myself. As a side note, spectra 6 is actually capable of displaying 7 colors, not 6. The other color being orange. For some reason all the information I've seen said 6, the sample code also only uses 6 colors.

In fact, the card Hailo-8L without memory are limited by the PCI-E and the Raspberry pi shield 'll maybe compatible with the generative one... It is hard to say but with a PCI-E Gen 2 with 2 channels, the bandwidth is 1GB/s and it seems to be weak compare to the 13Tops of computing of the Hailo 8L. Maybe the Convolution networks are more computer limited than Transformer ones but 1GB/s is so weak.

    I'd love to have a small black box at home with several Groq LPUs acting as LLMs for my local network. It would serve a typical family of five, each accessing it from their phones via WiFi while at home working, especially since internet connectivity can be an issue. I wonder if they'll ever sell such a device to the general public instead of just focusing on businesses?

    • @ipXchange
      @ipXchange 3 месяца назад

      I couldn't say. They do make racks, but I wonder how many you would need to make something viable at home, and whether they'd let you buy not in bulk. That would be cool though. To be fair, you can use Groq cloud, but I guess you want to own your own infrastructure. Groq has deployed their LPU in super small use cases, so there might be a possibility you could get you hands on some private units...

    How does an LPU differ from an ASIC please?

    • @ipXchange
      @ipXchange 3 месяца назад

      I suppose it could be considered a type of ASIC as it is a processor designed specifically for large language model processing. The way that an LPU differs from a GPU is that it does not do any parallel processing - it's very good at doing things in sequence. For applications like LLMs or audio, going forward in time is all that's required because the next word depends on the words that came before it. It's pretty much a 1D problem. This is in contrast to GPUs because a 2D or 3D picture needs to understand the whole context of a scene, hence why it requires parallel processing of all the pixels in order to understand what's going on. While parallel processing in GPUs can be used to enable faster LLM AI, at a certain point, the recombination of data slows the whole process down. The LPU, however, is able to just keep chugging along at the same pace because any parallelism is done in separate chips. At a certain number of devices, it seems that this wins out in terms of performance as the GPUs stop providing a net gain for more units added to the system. This is an oversimplification, but you get the idea. Thank you for the comment and question.

    Wow this is bad. They used to render 60 THOUSAND colors with their ACeP technology, now they're down to only 6 (!!!) and all the high resolution goes to waste for dithering. What's even worse is that the driver chip on these can actually drive 8 waveforms. They could easily add a grey and an orange for example which would drastically improve image quality. (Even I could do it if I got hands on one of these panels.)

    I've been developing crystal power cell generators, its taken sometime to get the technology smaller and smaller but these generators provide constant voltage for decades through a process known as the Cassimere Effect, without ever needing to be recharged. We are actually waiting on some materials to build a very compact generator that can charge your cell phone or other tech each day for decades, I kind of got stuck in my own eco chamber of technologies for a while but now seeing this it really shows just how useful these will be for everyday people. Im launching everything totally open source with all the plans and even instructional videos how to build your own as well as the .STL 3d printer files so folks can even print their own enclosure and add USB's... for whatever they want to power. Very cool technology, I refuse to patent this technology or it will simply be swept away into the pages of history. Yes it takes money to develop this tech however open source is excellent for allowing truly useful products to be innovated and manufactured outside and apart from the greedy Black Rock Corps of the world In short I think this crystal power cell technology could be extremely useful in many of this guys applications
