Fellow ODE Brew Grinder - Best home filter coffee grinder?
I printed a tamper, a dosing funnel and a tamping station
I did this exact thing. Only made the smell worse for some reason. It’s not coming from the gasket or lid. I think it’s the ceramic liner but ceramic is an inert material so it doesn’t make sense. This is a weird issue.
Something tells me Fellow majorily fugged up the coating process, making the ceramic porous. And once the ceramic soaks coffee molecules, there’s no getting them out.
is it tasty though?
Thank you worked smell gone . 🙌🏻
What is the music in this video?
"Let time fall where it may" is a nice reminder to just chill and worry less about all the different variables. Just adjusting for grind size and knowing which direction to go by taste is easier to understand. Too bitter: grind coarser Too sour: grind finer And enjoy your coffee your way. It's yours.
Outstanding I can’t believe I didn’t hear anything about expresso during this video. All videos out today even though the grinder does drip/pour over only they still seem to talk about espresso.
Because espresso is the most critical to get correct in the dialing in process
"Cold ice"
Im using an immersion heater to save space, foldable v60 pourigami, then fellow travel cup, 1zpresso grinder, and weightman espresso scale. the issue is pouring hot water from one cup to the other, id like to find an attachable sprout, or a container with a sprout where the fellow travel cup fits into.
How i can buy this mug ?
Same question Tell me when you find out
You can get it from fellow’s official website
Based on the reviews all around, I wouldn't, lol.
Is this a joke? Have people forgotten how to wash things without a dishwasher?
Actually, this is a great technique for getting out oil from containers. You should try it with your tupperware too. Great hack tbh
Super helpful thank you!
why have i never thought of that
How important is water temp here and should i play with it or fix it and play with the grind size? Should it be on the higher side 95-97 c or 88-90 range
im am printing coffee stuff now. its crazy what you can do but the learning curve is way bigger then I thought.
First
h*ck yeah
You've never heard of sponge brush?

Instant coffee
Hello im new in this coffee world and i want to ask what is the purpose to spray the bean first before grind it ?
💆♂️
Thanks! As for brewing temperature, for any brewing method, would you generally recommend waiting 30 seconds after shutting off the stove with boiling water, before pouring the brewing water? Thanks again!
I’ve 3d printed some coffee stuff as well. Single dose funnel/hoppers and the Filter Smusher for my StaggX are two I use the most.
Filter smusher?! Tell me more…
Hope to do the same thing when I finally get a coffee machine
That's why Ethiopia is one of my favorite regions. You can extract a ton of fruity notes up front. I also love Guatemala. I also go back to these 2 regions.
*always
Isn’t the water temp too high?
What scale do you recommend here?
What setting did you use on the Porlex?
Why do you risk sitting on the roof? I would've loved to buy that cute pourable kettle alone, but it's not sold individually :( Already have toooo many coffee things lol
Finer slows down extraction not coaster. Think wood chips vs sand. Pouring the same amount of water through equal amounts of sand and wood chips, the water runs through chips faster, and more water comes out.
Around what grind setting on the ode do you use usually for iced aeropress?
On the new V2 burrs I'm grinding around a 3. On V1 burrs, closer to a 1. One of the best parts about the Aeropress is that it's very forgiving as far as grind size is concerned. Anything around a filter grind to a little bit finer should yield great results!
@@AlexanderMillsCoffee ok great, thanks!
"Grind as fine as you can and then back off ..." advice is probably right but this process gets spread over a few days. Aah, coffee, the elusive mistress (read: bitch).
I have a brand new 2022 ode grinder and I'm at setting 1....brewed with V60...coffee still taste under extracted...how?
Perfect and to the point. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Alexander ! I got a question my dude.. if you were brewing with a chemex , what grind setting would you use here?
Good video I use the same method, with my niche and fellow ode with SSP burrs
Water temperature? Ratio? Thanks
BRS backpacking stove, vssl grinder, moka pot.
My travel coffee kit outside of the Aeropress (which remains the best brewer for outdoors) is consist of a -$2 foldable pour over dripper from Daiso, Brewista's smart scale 2 (so small), Kalita wave pot kettle (the easiest to pack among other kettles. I used to bring a smaller, 600ml one but the pour from the spout was less so brewing took longer), a small hot plate (what I'd normally use for mokapot and stove top kettles), a Comandante or Hario mini slim pro manual grinder, and a mug (hario v60 thermal uchi). All packed inside a cheap but still sturdy shoe pouch that's become the bag for my coffee kit.
It goes to 11. Nice.

Wow this was REALLY cool to listen to. Thank you so much!
Thank you for such an insightful way to better understand grind size and taste! Very helpful! Where can I get one of those mugs that is in frame 0:23. I have been looking around with no luck! Thank you in advance!
