She was fairly popular in the community and lived on in the comic books until 2017, where the comic was very harshly cut off and a lot of youngsters and nostalgic enthusiasts alike were upset about it. It's not unheard of for fictional characters to be iconic or popular. Imagine if Darth Vader was used once or twice and then never again? He'd still have a fanbase. That's the best way I can muster to explain. People generally should have better things to do, but in the first world fiction is a very important thing to a lot of people.

@@DriftStar13 Well if, oh I don’t know… making a video telling us the entire history of the character, making animations for sonic fan projects which are not as important but still let the fanbase grow, and straight up admitting that you are the one who made Sally.exe along with admitting all of your other sins instead of hiding them under the rug like any other RUclipsr/person would do is not worthy of at least some praise, then I don’t know what is.

Oh, I am doing a 180° and never looking back. That's why I refuse to refer to my new channel. I have not only experienced but also been the worst the Sonic fandom has to offer. I started off not minding Amy at all myself. I wanna distance myself from it as much as I can. That and more things I've felt guilty for for over a decade. Hyperfocus on a harmful thing can really mess you up, especially if you have a problematic tether to reality due to mental illness. On top of that, I was entitled and rude. Just an overall unhinged person. I'm pretty old now. Definitely too old to obsess over this stuff.

@@DriftStar13 well all that matters now is you have changed and become better, i used to be hyperfocused on sonic and was a toxic person in the past too so i understand. im 21 now and i have become hyperfocused on writing and working on my manga which has been helping me a lot. I hope everything works out with your new channel/

I might talk about other general Sonic stuff if I still continue this channel. I might just wind up abandoning the channel though. I have a different channel where I do more of the things I properly enjoy, but I'm not going to link it here mostly to cut ties. I'm sure it's not all too difficult to find though.

@@DriftStar13 That's too but I give them idea of how to make the campaign discord server more fun and active. But the mod just keeps either ignoring it or acknowledges but do nothing with the idea I give them. I understand they have life outside of online but if you running the campaign you have to put 100% into movement like is job in RL. I even told off one of the mod ( they left because they was butt-hurt of me and others calling him out not include of blaming me of them leaving the movement) that $15 gift card is not good contest awards to give of talented artists and all artist agree with me. That's one of reasons I left but is just the movement is dead all together. No passion or anything.

@@DriftStar13 But anyway, whatever you do your channel in the future. Do it for fun and enjoyment. Maybe turn your channel into art channel for speed drawing or talk about yourself or options on whatever.

@@Tsuenica Yeah. I think Rich killed the movement in the end though. Nobody is really passionate about it, but Rich being a major creep and manipulator just put it in its grave.

I genuinely don't think so. With so much negative things connected to the character from ship wars to literal sabotage from the inside SEGA made it clear that these comic characters are long gone. The abrupt end of Archie and the overwhelming support for IDW shows this. They want people to move on.

@@DriftStar13 it's a hard pill to swallow. I mean it must be hard for you because you made so many videos about sally. But after all that sided and done sally is a great character and should return but it's mostly likely not going to happen....

​@DriftStar13 I guess he/she said that in context of Sega being unjustifiably hostile and ignorant towards Sally and her admirers.

It was a mix of a lot of problems. That group was constantly infighting and backstabbing each other until they broke off into factions. Didn’t even last until the end of 2020. The whole thing was an unorganized mess with people who obviously shouldn’t have been in charge running it.

I'm not interested in making more Sonic content, especially Sally Acorn stuff. I hyperfocused on the character since I was a kid for pretty petty reasons. I only did R4S stuff because I thought it might go somewhere. This was never meant to be a Sonic channel to begin with. At most I may talk about other Sonic-related things with pretty spontaneous videos that won't have that much editing.

What's the difference between her and other cartoon characters like Fifi La Fume, Bugs Bunny, etc. It's a cartoon. :/ Yeah, I'm glad the romance is gone because it caused a lot of damage to her character, not just fandomwise but in the writing of the comics too. Also romance is icky. Then again, Sonic and Amy are on excellent terms in IDW Sonic so I dunno.
