  • @captlarry-3525

Hemen, I have been riding for 60 years. Maybe that means something maybe not. Here is my take on your comments. 1. Be grateful ! only a few years ago a 250 this nice was impossible to get. Small street bikes were ignored in the American market completely. You have oodles of high tech high performance machinery and you paid little for it. 2. You are right. The tank is too small. This was a styling compromise. Most bikes in this size range have 3.5 gallons..and that is still too small. 3. Speedo tend to have 3-5 mph errors even in the 30-45 mph range..where this can get you a ticket or tailgated. Use your gps to calibrate the speedo at important speeds 25, 35, 45, 65. if you have to.. cut little triangles of colored plastic tape ( electrical tape) and place them where the true speeds are... or use clear plastic tape and a magic marker . My BMW and Suzuki both had these errors. 4. You got you bike for 2000 because many who buy it are first time owners, and bikes just arent for them. and the agressive riding position is Wrong for beginners... and they feel that - even if they dont understand it, and they quit riding. I would NEVER suggest clip on bars for a novice... or for any city/suburban riding.. where the upright riding position allows neck swiveling for defensive driving. This it the one thing "wrong" with your bike.. for anybody riding in town. Gas Guage... again.. calibrate it... and tape over the warning light if it causes you distress. 2 gallons should get you 120 miles..and 2.5 150 miles.. you will learn what the limits are. But you live in texas. Can;t cure the fact that its a big place. You bought a single cylinder motorcycle, and one that is known to be buzzier than some. You can try adding some rubber to the handle bar mountings... get some gloves that may help, but this is one thing that is annoying and fatiguing. If your mirrors are clear, it probably isnt that bad. Consider gel grips on the bars. 7. Be grateful, you have good handling, good brakes, good power, and good economy. A chinese bike would already be dead, with no parts and nobody saying I'm sorry. You got this "new" so if you treat it well. it will do the same for you. 8. Muffler. A quiet bike is a less fatiqueing bike.. That is why i love BMWs. Noise is dangerous, keep your muffler. Stupid people destroy thier motors with after-market mufflers. Classic pimply kid mistake. don't make it. The engineers knew what they were doing when they designed that muffler.

unfortately, we can't see the tach. but I think it will be running around 7000 rpm at 70 mph. There is a motorcycle magazine review on the web.. and they show a horsepower and torque cure... which shows the torque is really quite broad and relatively flat from 3000 rpm to the peak at about 7500 or 8000... goes from about 12 ft lbs to 15 or 16 ft pounds... which is not a lot of change. The HP seems to climb steeply.. at about 5 or 6K if I remember right. So anyway.. at 70 this thing will be cruising right where it is able to make the most torque.. which is why it will accelerate pretty well from that speed in 6th gear.. if you have a low power 250.. like my Suzuki TU-250x... it wont want to go beyond 75 even with gearing changed... and at 70 hasnt got much left, and will slow for steep hills, and headwinds will not be kind to you. A bike like this has 30 mph more speed left at 70... and that makes all the difference, if you need to travel on highways and interstates. While the cbr300r is more sophisticated, and smoother and more comfortable... it is also the very best in its class... while some other japanese bikes ( like the yamaha) are probably inferior in many respects ( brakes and handling) to this bike. Great bang for the buck. Very respectable.

You made the best choice given the money you had to spend. Korean products are very high quality. I don't know about the dealer network. But your are light years better off than with a chinese bike. All that matters is that you are happy with it. It is a good safe bike. If you maintain it well, you should stay happy a long time.

The key latch is for the passenger seat, not the main seat, just put the key in and turn to the right a little.....not to hard and at the same time, pull up on the seat from the rear and boom, now putting the seat back is the same. Hook it on the 2 hooks and position the metal stubb with the hole, turn the key to the right and push the stubb in the hole and let the key loose and it should lock back in place. If you don't have a owner manual you can download it online for free.

Good beginner bike to learn with or a bike if you just want to toy around with......have the same bike just in the black colorway. Been owning it a week, " literally " and it's been kool to have, still breaking the engine in sitting on 107 miles now bought it brand new with 5 miles. Rides good, street and highway, but this is just a stepping stone for me, will be looking to trade it and get a Kawasaki Ninja 400 by winter, just want something a little more smoother. But this is a good bike for anybody.

I find it shakes More in the lower rpm's and it actually improves as u go over 4000rpm I only paid 2300 pounds brand new so it's a bargain also I find the gear change really smooth I've only just done 400 miles but the gear change on mine is smooth but it's a fast 250 it's slightly to agressive in the riding position but it's a sports bike LoL good video 👍

Good content 👍 I would put red or white rim stripe to match your bike and also it stands out at night. I had 2008 ninja 250, it's nice but not as sporty as my gsxr or cbr. But i think hyosung can almost keep up with 600 sport bikes or at least it looks like it can. The bike looks good. I think hyosung always considered the look of their bike to their priority. Hyosung used be affiliated with Suzuki. And they were called HyosungSuzuki in 90s. So I would assume some parts are compatible or maybe not. You should do another one after this season or after few thousand miles, to show its reliability. Thanks for displaying how to change the oil. I didn't know that. This is video shows how to remove rear seat. Hope it helps! ruclips.net/video/f3_cnaBwA3Y/видео.html
