Lots of broke thinking in this thread. I thoroughly enjoyed the review. I like your positive, upbeat personality. I was not able to afford a boat like this when I was younger (I’m 72) and these boats were much cheaper back then. Now that I am retired and debt-free I do think this boat is priced very competitively within my budget. I aspire to move to the Gulf Coast and buy a boat like this to enjoy for as long as I have my health. You broke thinkers running your mouths can save your pennies and buy it off me for cheap when I am ready to sell. Then it might be budget friendly for you. Ha ha 28 feet, twin Yamaha 300s with joy stick, twin Garmin screens, three live wells, no sofa in the way in the bow, plenty of seating for a fishing party of six. This is a fishing machine.

Salty, a discussion on how water drainage is routed from the kill lockers and aft deck (overboard or to the bilge for pump out) would be very useful info.

This is right at the top of my list along with Reef Runners

Definitely more family than fishing. I would not be looking at a twin engine for a family/sandbar boat. Would never be going that far off shore. Since I am retired and it is just me and the little wifey I would go pure fishing with no forward bow seating in the way. For family (females especially) the finished head on this boat looks very nice.

I'm sorry, but for 23ft that is the most cramped boat I've seen. I feel like it would be awful tight for 4 people to fish. My old '98 Wahoo 2100 CC which is actually 20'1", seems to have way more space. 2 people can even sit on the full size igloo cooler seat in front of the console. I will stick to my old boat which I only have around 13k in. Good job on the video though. I enjoy your content. Thanks

Have a 1983 22ft Boston Whaler Outrage with a Suzuki 200 and it has been dead reliable. Only use Amsoil fluids. Super cheap to run and maintain.

Before commenting that this is not affordable, note that there is NO such thing as an affordable boat. Have you heard Break Out Another Thousand? Well it’s true in all aspects of the marine industry. Use this as a guide as what to look for in a boat that’s maybe a couple years old!

Reef Runner is a top 3 fishing boat for me. Check out some of the build videos with Donna to show how these 3-piece boats are built. The twin 150s is the way I would go. I want to fish offshore and like the redundancy of the engines, just like military helicopters I flew with two engines.

You need to know something about boat before talking about them, they are not furniture for storing and sitting. Mako. Where is the livewell? 21footer for value boat $87k. You crazy, Key West is cheaper for 23 footer and it's mid range boat. You could sell some furniture with storage 😂😂😂😂

Another more effective method is to tie a #5 or #6 solid ring onto the leader using a chain knot. This way you eliminate a possible failure point but you can still swap jigs quickly using the split ring.

63 grand isn't that affordable to 70 percent of the male population in the US. Mabe, these boat companies would be doing a lot better if they would stop pricing themselves out of the market.

I would definitely take this over the Contender 25 or Grady 256. That was pretty crazy that that person in the front seat sat through those waves! The only thing I would add onto this boat is a full glass wraparound.

I've been looking for a 23ft boat for a wile now that has the option of twin outboard engines and I'm stuck between this reef runner and the bluewater 23T, I've seen that you have reviewed both of them, I would love and honor your opinion and expert advice and suggestion on which would be a better boat between this two, the pros and cons or would it come down to a flip of a coin ??? Console to is basically a single seat. Steering should be offset to allow two people to seat behind the console.
