My Hometown Borrisokane
Written originally as a poem for his granddaughter, by local man Brendan Carroll. He then added a tune "Searching the Winds of Home" composed by Mick Tunney and created a beautiful composition, looking back at all the changes that have occurred during his lifetime, the shops, pubs and characters that have disappeared and those that remain. A video by local man Pat Nevin was then added to create this beautiful view and story of Borrisokane.

Monaincha Abbey

Situated in Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. An abbey was founded here on a small island by St. Elair during the 8th century. The land around the island was drained during the 18th century, leaving the monastery as a mound on a boggy field. Immediately in front of the church are the fragments of two crosses mounted together and bears a relief of crucified Christ.
