CTO explains GraphRAG - How to increase ACCURACY of LLM Systems using Graph and Vector Databases #16
Philip Rathle, CTO of Neo4j, the popular graph database company, shares his insights into leveraging graphs inside LLM Systems and products. Depending on the scale of your queries, graph databases are an effective engine for retrieving information in RAG systems that can leverage graphs' relational and speed capabilities to enhance LLMs' understanding of complex topics and queries.
Neo4j also has a built-in vector database, which reduces the number of components you need to deploy in a single RAG system or multiple systems across the enterprise.

Thanks for sharing 🎉
Great conversation and I got to learn a lot from both of you, Mark and Kyle! A lot of these topics that you discussed here are new to me and I'm glad you made this podcast, amazing work! Excited to see more such conversations in the future!! I'll make sure to share this with my fellow interns at my company and friends who are looking to make a career in this field 😃
😂 sadguru for saas ❤
Haha :)
Insightful 🙌👏
Top tier episode Mark Moyou, PhD and Radek Osmulski👌🏿. Great questions, great story, great advice. Tons of gems in here. Very practical and insightful. This is a mini masterclass on a methodology for learning and becoming a great engineer generally. Even the book recommendations are top tier. Also.....Clean code is not spoken about enough and I loved that you guys emphasized the importance of it and the value of refactoring. Thanks for this.
Great Podcast, keep them coming. Quick question, for someone who recently graduated from university and wants to learn more about building scalable systems, how do you recommend they gain experience/knowledge in this field to ensure they build production systems that are able to scale effectively.
look up ml systems seminar from stanford. Most folks learn at top companies unfortunately
I went and listened to “Wear Sunscreen” after this and it was totally worth it.
It’s definitely a balancing act. I tried qwen-vl, I’m quite handy with nvidia stack and AI deployment so I was able to get it up and running, however, it was still easier to just use chatgpt since we didn’t have resources to tune it, just wasn’t as good as Gpt by a decent amount out of the box.
Thanks, Mark and Hamza for sharing quite an informational, inspiring, and encouraging talk. This talk helped me a lot in multiple ways as an AI/LLM product designer, an active learner, and a foreign worker towards my next career. I'll definitely watch this again soon.
