To Quit Porn, Put Lust to Death | Colossians 3:5-7
The cure for pornography in your life is execution. You defeat porn by putting lust to death. You conquer sexual immorality by killing it. You eliminate evil sexual desires by exterminating them. The pathway to sexual purity is capital punishment.
When you put something to death in your life, you render it weak and impotent. You view it as a corpse, without life. You deprive that thing of its energizing power. You cut off that source of sexual temptation. This is the teaching of Scripture.
“Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon th...

To Quit Porn, Flee Sexual Immorality | 1 Corinthians 6:18

One thing to understand about quitting pornography is that you don’t quit you flee. Porn isn’t something you leave behind in your life. You can’t quit porn the way you quit grade 12, or quit your job. Porn isn’t something that ends up in your rearview mirror one day, a distant memory. You don’t quit porn, or conquer porn. You flee porn. Pornography is a type of sexual immorality. And the Bible ...

Winning the battle against pornography is going to cost you something perhaps plenty. You can’t leave the world of habitual sexual sin behind and enter the land of sexual purity without paying a price. That price varies for every man. But pay it you must. Achieving sexual purity requires drastic actions that cost you something. This is the fundamental truth that Jesus communicates in His Sermon...

God commands you to abstain from sexual immorality, which includes pornography. But how do you stay away from pornography, exactly? How do you hold back from, and avoid, porn? By following another biblical command. You “make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” This word "provision" is the Greek word that means forethought or foresight, which is to say, advance knowledge of someth...

The first thing you must do to quit porn biblically is to quit porn. Watching, listening to or reading pornography is sexual immorality. So is eating a candy bar also sinful because it doesn't bring anyone to God and is in fact bad for you, and can not masturbation be used to glorify God, similar to dancing, as a type of worship? Without lustful thoughts, the pleasure can't be shared towards God in reverence, similar to how eating a candy bar can be done in thankfulness for it's flavor? I legit don't know the answer, I am not advocating for or against it, only that it does not make sense to me when you apply the same logic to other self pleasuring activities that have no benefit, like eating candy or just generally having fun, like luxuries that don't accomplish anything other than to serve as pleasurable activities, like riding a rollercoaster.

But that all stopped in 2021 when he got serious about forsaking his sin and following the Lord's commands about how to flee sexual immorality, as found in the Bible. Something to think about though, your title emphasizes the 'why', yet you spend 3:30 of your 3:50 video citing all the places the warnings occur and then ending with 'because God cares about your purity'. Of course that is true, but uninformative. I would like to hear more of your why. How does it impact your view of the world and God's kingdom. Is it a gateway to greater transgressions and a slippery slope that will make it harder to come back from other things. Can it normalize your view of things in the world that shouldn't be normalized. The Bible couldn’t possibly be large enough to mention every forbidden act or every authorized act. Plus, you face the problem of innovation. Technologies exist today that didn’t exist when the Holy Spirit inspired the authors to write the books of the Bible (that’s why the Bible is silent about Tinder and virtual reality headsets). There is simply no way that the Bible could be a rule book that governs every possible activity for all time. You and I know that exposing our genitals in public is a sin even though the Bible neither forbids nor authorizes exhibitionism. We know that peeping though windows to watch others undressing or having sex is wrong even though the Bible is silent on the topic of voyeurism. The same goes for masturbation. If you and I study the Scriptures with an open heart, asking God to guide our thoughts, and meditating on God’s express design for sex as something that takes place only between a husband and wife (God has spoken expressly on this topic), we will discover soon enough why masturbation is sin. @TDL-xg5nn

@Maikigai Masturbation suffers the same problem of sexual immorality in men - the expenditure of seed. To understand what ages a man, look no further than: stress & replenishment of seed/seminal fluid. It is extremely costly for your body to produce semen, after all at the foundational level it is the meaning of your life, to succeed where your parents and all of your direct ancestors succeeded - reproduction. So rule 1: Stop, think, go do something productive instead. Because It's killing you, slowly, and its effects are far more potent if you are doing it at a young age (worsened eyesight, terrible memory, feelings of depression and loneliness, not growing to your full genetic potential height). Leave yourself alone, let yourself develop, and you'll realise that the seed that you've been wasting will improve ever other aspect of your life. Another rule, and probably the one that pairs best with rule 1, is rule 2: avoid lusting. You are a human soul, in an animalistic body. The animals go around their business and at a certain time, they dance and fight for the right to reproduce, the best dancers and the best fighters are the ones with the most skills. You get skills by working on yourself, not by sitting alone in a room and touching yourself to dirty images on a screen. None of this is taught in mainstream schools, because if it were, we wouldn't have people growing up without ambitions and wants and needs. There'd be no one to work at McD's!

Your clinical "anti" teaching totally ignores the sexual dysfunction and age-related problems that can cause misery and frustration for older, moral, married Christians. Here's something else to consider. I have no need to explain the catastrophe that could result when a seductive 'Christian' woman repeatedly tries to entice intimacy with a moral, non-sexually active, frustrated man. These things happen. Better surely for self-pleasure to be used before such an impending encounter results in a sudden and disastrous lack of self-control and its consequences. Sex works like that. (Works the other way round too). The lack of depth of your message is WAY too simplistic. Please at least be realistic: and remember who invented sex in the first place.

Thank you for sharing your view, @snowwhitehair485 I disagree. My view, based on the teaching of Scripture overall, is that masturbation is always wrong. It's sin for believers and it's sin for unbelievers. It's sin for the married and it's sin for unmarried. So, there are no scenarios in which masturbation is acceptable to God. This video, by the way, is simply one of many that I have created that deals with this issue. There are other biblical reasons that masturbation is sin; this video deals with just one of them. @@MakeNoProvision "20- For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. 21- It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. 22- Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. 23- And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin." (Romans 14: 23) In this context paul is speaking of a choice, to eat food that was previously offered to idols or to not eat it. As Paul clarifies in the context, eating is not sinful in itself, but it is a matter of faith IF it is involved with a ritual act, it is then a matter of believing or not in the ritual act, not in the eating itself. So, your text is out of context when you apply it to an act that does not involves faith because is not bound to rituality or the believing in idols. The mere act of eating (or masturbating) is not bound to rituality or faith, is just a natural biological need.

Read the text, @Music1art "WHATSOEVER is not of faith is sin" (Romans 14:23). If you have doubts about ANY act, whether you should do it or not, suspecting that the act might be sinful, then you are sinning if you go ahead and do it anyway, because "whatsoever is not of faith is sin."

@Music1art My intended audience on this channel is Christian men for whom masturbation is a matter of faith. Masturbation is not an act like taking a shower or going to the gym. Around 55,000 Christians go online every month and search to discover if masturbation is a sin. They boot up Google and type: “is masturbation a sin” (15,589 searches), “is masturbating a sin” (6,544 searches), “is masturbation a sin according to the bible” (6,494 searches), “what does the bible say about masturbation” (4,774 searches), “is jerking off a sin” (2,400 searches), “is touching yourself a sin” (1,900 searches), “what does the bible say about self satisfaction” (921 searches). Why do so many Christians search to discover if masturbation is a sin? Because their conscience troubles them. Their conscience makes them feel guilty and ashamed after the act, so they suspect that the act must be wrong. They do the act in private, and keep it a secret from their fiancé or spouse, so they naturally suspect that it must be sin. But they don’t find a clear command in the Bible prohibiting masturbation, so they turn to Google. But the better place to turn to is the 14th chapter of the Book of Romans, verse 23. Here Paul spells out the universal rule to use whenever contemplating a dodgy act. “Whatever is not from faith,” says Paul, “is sin.” In other words, if you cannot do something with full conviction that the action is right, that action is sinful. If you doubt that something is correct, don’t do it, because doing it is sin. For you to take any action, you must be persuaded that it is right, proper and good. You cannot doubt. If you doubt, you are condemned (read the first part of the verse again).

    • @Music1art

@@MakeNoProvision That is taken out of the context. I just showed you why the word "faith" is used when it is in reference to sacrificing to idols. If the conscience of the one eating thinks that that food is evil and eats it, then they are participating of idolatry, but if they think that "an idol is nothing in the world" and "all things are clean" in themselves, as Paul says, then they have the faith that eating is not going to make them idolaters. But by your argument you seem to imply that if they don't doubt masturbation being acceptable, then it is not sin, but if they doubt, then it is sin. That destroys your initial argument about it being sin. The "WHATSOEVER" is still within that context anyway, it is not a word used with an absolute general meaning, otherwise, many daily things could be considered sin, and that is ridiculous.

The argument of silent of the bible regarding masturbation is not extrictly about the silence but about why it is silent. "Exhibitionism, voyeurism, obscene phone calls and sexual sadism, frotteurism", these acts are easily by common sense considered sin because they violate the privacy, physical well-being or moral safety of other persons. It is well known that damage to other persons, from ancient biblical times was considered sin and retributable with damage to the one who caused them. The law in Exodus 21: 23-25 is considered an example for every type of sin mentioned or not mentioned that could cause harm to others: (As you say, the Bible couldn't possibly be large enough to mention every forbidden or authorized act) 23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, 24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe. Plus, the acts that you mention here were not existent, or not common in biblical times. In the case of Frotteurism, it could have very well been considered an aspect of rape which was surelly mentioned and condemed in the bible. But masturbation by its physiological and psychological nature has always been a known common practice that regularly, does not involve customary and direct damage to other persons, but is a private, hiden, and personal practice in most cases. Now, if masturbation would have been an area of interest for the Jewish people or God, the very comon and frequent aspect of it, and the fact that it was debateable in certain times would have been brought up and mentioned as sinful or not. So, it is not because of the silent, but because of the reason for the silent.

If the Bible is silent on a topic, you cannot safely draw inferences for why the Bible is silent. After all, the Bible is silent on the topic of writing short stories about child molestation. But you can't argue that the Bible is silent on this topic because this act doesn't cause harm to others. Instead, you must use another yardstick. And one yardstick is Romans 14:23. Paul, through the Holy Spirit, says that if you have doubts about any act, whether you should do it or not, then you are sinning if you go ahead and do it anyway, because "whatsoever is not of faith is sin." @Music1art

All I said is precisely that acts that cause harm to others are sinful, so this example is just out of topic totally. If the bible is silent on a topic we have the right to draw inferences as long as they do not contradict the bible in an obvious way, otherwise, we will have to allow for wrong interpretations which would be the same as drawing incorrect inferences.
