Original song by Matthew West. Released in 2019 and was nominated for the GMA Dove Award for Song of the Year. If I were You I would've given up on me by now I would've labeled me a lost cause 'Cause I feel just like a lost cause If I were You I would've turned around and walked away I would've labeled me beyond repair 'Cause I feel like I'm beyond repair Oh, but somehow You don't see me like I...

You sang this song beautifully!! This song is my prayer for my babies.
Thank you so much 🥰 love this song!
❤️
This is such helpful video
Thank you, I'm happy that this helped you!
Nice! I hate cooking too lol
Can you provide the full translation?
This was for a class assignment and we were told to answer some questions. Here is the translation - "Hello, My name is Anny. I'm hearing. I grew up speaking English and in high school I learned 3 years of Spanish, I remember all of it. Now I am studying ASL at pierce college and I like it, I think it's easy. I like going camping, hiking, and walking through the trees. I don't like to cook. I love to sing and my favorite color is Red. Nice to meet you! Thank you. "
Well this a perfect example. Thank you
Glad this can help you :)
This is pretty much identical to how my autobiography is going to be. I assume you used the Signing Naturally book?
cool :) yes i used signing naturally. it was a long time ago, i don't remember if our instructor gave us questions or not too
Thank you so much! I was struggling with how my teacher wanted us to do this assignment, but thank you for the clarification!! (and it even raised my self-esteem cuz I knew everything you said xD)
awesome! I'm glad this helped :)
I like you. you are so adorable ! can we be friends?
are you referring to the last sign? it's a sign like a "gulp" swallowing hard because of embarrassment :)
what does the ending part say. I can't figure it out
I think I have to do this story for my second assignment but anyway, the beginning took me a bit to try and understand since i'm still learning asl in 2nd level but after a while I started to understand what was going and even laughed at times. You were really great and this video makes excited for when I do the assignment x)
ah, I have to do this soon for my ASL class as well! really excited to start practicing.
You did a great job! I have to do this tomorrow for my ASL class.
Thanks! Good luck! :)
Thanks!
Anny you did a great job! I am working on this today and struggling a bit directionally. I need my brain to switch! so I am not so confused. Appreciate you posting yours.
ashley85ification I agree about the placement of people ... it throws me off because Signing Naturally does the exact same thing! And I don't understand if it's on purpose or not!
omG you are really good at facial expressions, I can't do it I do not why? ;/
thanks Aileh! It takes a lot of acting and being able to put yourself into the character, understand what they feel and what they are thinking. Don't be afraid to exaggerate your expressions if you need to :) and don't be afraid if you feel like you look silly doing it! If you are still having a hard time, maybe do some facial exercises to help loosen up your facial muscles and eyebrows so you can move them! hehe
Thank you! I record my video but still looks fake, and I have to turn it in by midnight. But thank you I will try to do more facial exercises :)
Awesome :) I am glad my video was able to help you out! Which ASL are you in and which school do you attend?
I got a 61 out of 64, :D
I'm fluent in ASL, but I'm still off on my interpretation, and this helped. I'll let you know what grade I got on Monday :)
I like this video better than the actual gun story on SN. Thanks! I'll use yours instead!:)
I am so glad this helped! :) good luck on your ASL journey!
Thank you!
Hope this helped you and hope you were able to get it down for your midterm :)
Thanks! The directions the mom yelled to and the boy running is correct, however it did make it confusing that i pointed to the boy's right ear when it should have been his left ear. The mom was calling from the house that was to the left of him and so the role shift was from the left looking right to the boy. The boy then turned and ran towards his left. Thanks for noticing the ear point though!
Great job! My only suggestion would be to remember placement of people better. The Mom yelled from one direction, and the boy ran the opposite direction.
Handshape story: that would have been better to point to myself first. ABC story: D was supposed to be the shape of glasses with the index finger looking like the part that goes over the ears and the O shape made with the other fingers as the circular lenses. Also, the bathroom was kinda hard to show with just the alphabet order but she needed to use the bathroom while she was driving since she rushed out of that house in the morning and so she started speeding and got a ticket
I was trying to make the L for showing the shape of the pillow. I'm not quite sure how to sign "fall soundly asleep" with the P handshape though, maybe it would have been better :)
For "SLEEP", the L for blanket was in the wrong place. since you pulled up the "blanket" with your E E on your left, the "blanket" should have also been there in the same location. The "rub the eye" didn't quite work for me. Maybe a variation on "Fall soundly asleep" using the P-handshape would have worked better.
Handshape story: Good, but open with classifier-1 -- who is that? You could have signed "ME 1-CL-"walk" ABC story -- what is the D supposed to represent? And why you need to go to the bathroom while driving? "Airbrush and "backfire" and "underpriced" were kind of cute, but your movement for "backfire" was not correct for "fire"
Yes, It was the signing naturally book. :-) I'm ready for ASL 2 next semester.
Cool! Glad it helped :) have fun learning ASL! It's such a great language :)
This helped me so much!
Was it the Signing Naturally book? We were given the assignment to copy that story. I think this book is the main book for teaching ASL 1. I haven't come across anyone that used a different book for their class. :)
This story was in my ASL 1 book.
Yes I was in an ASL 2 class at a community college last semester. I loved it! :)
I don't remember the exact grade.. I'm pretty sure I got an A on this assignment though. I got an A in the class. I think this was my very first ASL video assignment and looking back I would change would be when I signed that my favorite color was red; it should have been "COLOR MY FAVORITE" instead of "COLOR I FAVORITE" but that's it. Hope this helps :)
Thanks!!! :D Are you taking an ASL class somewhere?
You are a great signer! :) just FYI
Perfect... Thank u
