Thanks for sharing, I’m in love with Arran ❤️ nice video 🎉 congratulations to both of you, lovely sounds / music ❤
Hi there, thanks for your encouraging comment 👍❤️
Aye it's a Braw part of the UK!!
It sure is and many bypass the area 👍❤️
Another beautiful video Alan and Tracey, Balloch is a gorgeous place and you’ve shown it to perfection, thanks again enjoyed it very much ….. nice to hear the Cyclists saying thank you when you gave way to them🙂I think the padlocks on the bridge are a token of a couples ❤️ for each other, they usually have names on them …….
Hi there, thanks for your comment. Balloch is a lovely place to visit for all ages, the good weather was a bonus ❤️👍
I saw you in John o groats on the 17th
Nice to see you back, enjoying the vlogs the places you visited gives us ideas of things to look for. We have friends living in Elgin and Lossiemouth only 522 miles from us door to door lol. This year we will stop on route wife says its an age thing. The new bridge at Lossiemouth was sorely needed as when we walked over the old one we both thought it didn't feel very safe and being an engineer I cannot help myself. Apparently it was closed not long after and to our friend lovely liz from Elgin we got there just after New bridge was opened and took a few photos of us crossing it. Love the harbour and the cafe at the end great food. We stayed at Silversands campsite the fish supper was incredible on site. The beach was utterly beautiful and truly was glittering Silversands. Mid week through our stay nato decided to have night operations from Lossiemouth airbase starting at 2am OMG nearly gave us heart attack with jets taking off on reheat. So we relocated to Elgin staying with lifelong friends. Please keep up with the vlogs and hope that your subscriptions increase, we coming up again September so if you out and about and see a old ve campervan in red flashing and waving at you it may be us. All the best Rod and Jan x
Hi there, thanks for your comment, we were lucky enough to see the Chinook helicopters flying out over West Beach, it's quite a site and there engine noise is amazing, fortunately it was in the morning 👍❤️
@@travellingbairnswow chinooks a big beastie, we were walking up the beach sunny afternoon shortly before the nato exercise began and a couple of possible black hawks with doors slid back came around the headland so low guns hanging out and guys hanging out too, was like a seen from the Vietnam war. They had to climb up over the end of runway from the beach waving at us stood there in shock , we had no chance to take pictures it was all over so quickly. We have never told anyone else as we thought people wouldn't believe us. X
Nice compilation, i much prefer the East coast of Scotland. Now to watch your Dumfries and Galloway video for a few ideas for the holidays. 👍
Howdy, thanks for comment, D&G area also has many great places to visit 👍❤️
Thanks for this recap of your latest thistle-stop tours.
Looks fantastic very informative, thanks for sharing your adventure
Glad you enjoyed it 👍❤️
BONUS TIP... Always have a box of matches or a lighter, as spark ignition burners are not always reliable 🤔
Camper vans are a dirty word now .The camper community doesn’t respect the land or people. Not accusing you personally but there’s plenty guilty culprits out there.
Understand what your saying, we see plenty of disrespectful vanlifers on our travels, I have been very tempted to video them and name and shame their reg numbers 👍❤️
Hi Allan and Tracey I have been watching your videos for a while now and loving it more and me and my wife have just retired and hope to do the same 😮same awra best Harry and agnes
Hi there, thanks for your comment, glad you enjoy the videos and they also give you some ideas for places to visit on your adventures, many more to come 👍❤️
Hello Alan and Tracy ! Just watched the vlog and really liked it. Definitely will get a throw ! Always dithering about buying a power station ! We have a boxer van and recently retired at 60. Looking forward to watching more from you two - thanks !
Hi there, thanks for comment, a throw is really handy, especially if you travel in the colder months. We got ours in a deal from Lakeland, it was about £50, ideal for sitting with or bed use 👍❤️
There are many gadgets and accessories out there to enhance your travels, what is your favourite
Thanks, interesting video. The sound is low - prob with microphones?
Howdy, thanks for comment, not sure about the audio, sounded OK on my headphones, will be more aware for next video ❤️👍
St Andrews always great for a visit,,Alan and Tracey ,yous were lucky with the weather during your time in stAndrews ,enjoy ed all the information and tour of St Andrews.look forward to your next video.xx
Hi there, thanks for your comment, yes we were fortunate with the weather, St Andrews is a great place to visit, a little bit of everything ❤️👍
St Andrews looks really nice. It's a good video .
Hi there thanks for comment, yeh it's a great place to visit, a little bit of everything 👍❤️
New sub
Thanks for subbing 👍
New sub 😃 I have my eye on an Alphard but a bit concerned about the age (2002), although the mileage is good at 44,000 👍
Hi there, we got our 04 Alphard when it had 96k on the clock, it's got a 2.4ltr chain driven Toyota camry engine, I would not worry about the mileage, ours is used regularly, as you will see from previous videos travelling all over, they are great to drive and reliable, parts OK to get etc, do you wanna swap lol 👍❤️
I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Tracey and Alan just as they were heading off on this particular trip, what a lovely couple,Alan gave me a wee tour of Alfie, it’s a beautiful van, and absolutely spotless too 😊I’ve been watching their videos for some time now and really enjoy them, the views are pretty spectacular and I’m totally in awe of their knowledge of our beautiful Scotland …… it’s a shame terrible weather cut this one short but it was good to see the daily and nightly routines and how well they work hand in hand with it all …… look forward to the next one …… Happy Travelling 🚐
Hi there and a BIG thanks for the comment.. Its always nice to meet viewers of our channel and have a chat, we hope that you continue to enjoy our videos 👍❤️
Thanks for this really enjoyed it. Lived in D*G all my life, raised in Portwilliam, lived in Wigtown, Kirkcowan, Newton Stewart and now live in Dumfries. Great to see this tour of the region!
Hi there, thanks for the comment, unfortunately the heavens opened up and we turned inland before we got to Stranraer. 👍❤️
We love watching your vlogs, brilliant, still saving for the Alphard we will get there, pet hate not having a van 😂❤ Tips yes please ❤
Howdy, thanks for the comment. We love our Alfie, apart from making the bed lol.. We had a few weekends at home, hopefully get out more often now, not sure what kind o video next tho? ❤️
@@travellingbairns do exactly what you are doing we love watching, and the footage of scenery and interesting buildings and places are fantastic ❤️
I dont have a van myself but enjoyed watching your video and loved your creative drone and camera work 👌🤗
Hi there, we appreciate that you took the time to message a comment about our video 👍❤️
😂
Your accent is amazing.. My surname is Irwin, but ( i am by DNA a Bell related to Redcloak of Blackethouse tower) got to Dumfries in 2017, the local history society was closed for the Christmas hols
Howdy, that's a shame about being closed, would have been very interesting. The dumfries and Galloway area is full of surprises 👍❤️
We're the same guy's, we both just kinda know who does what and it work's every time for us... We, if we're away for a while cook stuff then into fridge and freezer then we can choose what to have... Custard and pears... Quality 👍 safe travels guys
Howdy, thanks for comment, worth trying with the squirty peanut butter tho, tasty lol 👍❤️
I think we must have been close behind you on your journey round the 3 Lochs Drive- saw you heading out of the car park at Aberfoyle just as we went back to get in our van. We didn't have the option of cancelling and going home though, as Staffordshire is a bit far away!
Hi there, thanks for comment, yeh that day started of with good intentions then the heavens opened up, typical scotland eh lol 👍❤️
Hi guys, volume is very low on this video. Safe travels. 🚐
Hi, thanks for quick reply, youtube sets the audio levels, did you watch on phone or TV etc 👍❤️
Watched on tv. Not an issue, just had to turn the volume way up! I've got a hightop Alphard as well and would be interested in your list of essentials. I'm based just outside of Edinburgh and watch your videos to get ideas for where to go to next. Happy travels! 🚐
Enjoy watching your travels. Am with you with the food mostly cans and packets. I do like to do a fry up at times but mostly convenience food lol. ❤❤
Howdy, that's when we tend to cook, having a breakfast or a toasties, we are away to relax, not make meals, lol👍❤️
We are looking forward to reading all your vanlife comments - Alan & Tracey x
I just started watching a few of your videos, I love you guys. I am from South Carolina USA, and have Scottish and English ancestry. We are considering a visit to Scotland in the near future. Potential for an eventual move as well. America is beautiful but has become incredibly loud and obnoxious almost everywhere you go. Very loud vehicles everywhere. Scotland looks very peaceful in contrast.
Hi there, thanks for your comment, Scotland is the same, the border areas and Highlands are more quiet and peaceful than the populated central belt area. But, it's a fantastic place to visit live and those who move here say the same ❤️👍
Thank you!!!
The Stonehaven (Banksy) is a well known local but its our "wee secret"
Thankyou for your video. Just beginning to research our trip for later in the year. Your video was really helpful in the planning of our itinerary. Just subscribed to your channel.
Hi there, thanks for your comment, the D&G area has plenty to offer, just your luck with the weather tho 🤞❤️
@@travellingbairns we prefer the bad weather. Always makes for more interesting videos lol
Looks very cramped for 2 people to sleep.
Howdy, thanks for comment, actually OK for 2 and great to travel around in 👍❤️
Nice blog guys. And the backing music was good.
Glad you enjoyed it 👍❤️
Passed the van today or yesterday cannot remember but seen the sticker on the top so here I am
Where?
@@travellingbairns heading into Dunfermline from the Amazon side of the motorway
We are heading to the East Neuk area 👍❤️
@@travellingbairns nice hope use have a good time
Thanks guys. Must visit one day. As a child my neighbourhood in Edinburgh looked over to Burntisland. PS If it hovers its a kestrel. Mary Queen of Scots must have slept around in more ways than one. Lol
Hi thanks for your comment, I realised after saying sparrow hawk. You get a good view over to Edinburgh on a clear day 👍❤️
Brought back many happy memories of day trips to Burntiland ,Peticur bay , and Kinghorn when our family were young. Thank you Travelling Bairns.xx😊
Do you have any fond memories of visiting here ?
A very interesting video.
Glad you enjoyed it 👍❤️
Stopped over in Culross before but didn't know about the witches grave, definitely need to go back this summer! Great video! ❤
Hi, thanks for comment.. The grave is about 100yards on right leaving Newmills into Torry burn 👍❤️
Great video and even better location. Love the history update. Waiting for the next one. 👍
Hi, thanks for comment, it's a charming little village to visit, with lots of appeal, but can get busy 👍❤️
So glad to see you back😊. You always do your research thoroughly and subject matter is always very interesting snd varied. I get to know things about my own country that I didn't know 😮 and all presented creatively in your own quirky style. Very entertaining 😃. I'm a real fan of your channel. 🥰
Howdy, thanks for your comment, yeh it's a lovely place to visit and lots of charm, but can get busy with coach tours 👍❤️
Stunning! Thank you for the vid. It's on my list of places to visit now.
Hi there, thanks for comment, it's a great place to visit for a day trip, but can get busy, especially on weekends 👍❤️
👍👍@@travellingbairns
so the gem is that the castle's free thats sad
Spot on guys, keep up the good work.
Hi there, thanks for the comment 👍❤️
very enjoyable trip around North Berwick, Thank you...
Thanks for your comment. Glad you enjoyed it, join us on the rest of our journey up Scotland's east coast, I'm sure there will be many places you will enjoy seeing 👍❤️
Another lovely place to visit on Scotland's east coast - plenty to see and do in sunny dunny
Looking forward to seeing your videos, we love all the places you get to ❤
Thanks for your comment, we enjoy getting away as much as possible discovering Scotland 👍❤️
Thank you for another great video. As always the filming, editing, and choice of music is fantastic! Do you think you will be passing Pennan on your travels along the coast? I know its been a favourite of the fans of the film Local Hero, including me 😊 Its one of my favourite wee harbours. Im not sure if I'll get a chance to visit this year but I would love to see it feature on one of your videos 😊 The road down to the harbour is very steep mind, so may be best parking at the top and walking down. Anyway, just a wee suggestion 👍. Keep up the good work!
Hi there, thanks for your encouraging comment, we done a video on Scotlands NE 250 about 7mths ago, Pennan was on it.. We will be up that way at some point for our challenge 👍❤️
They're not confused about their identity. The chances are they wouldn't want to be in Scotland under the SNP, with Scotland being the murder and drugs abuse capital of Europe.
We were at Berwick upon tweed about six weeks ago in campervan and love it scottish or english does it matter a lovelly place and will definitely be returning back very soon 🏴
