Our overarching strategic goal is to meet the challenges of rapidly evolving innovation in healthcare and technology. In this session you will hear about our strategic goals that ensure the advancements in healthcare, technology and information exchange are reflected in our efforts to effectively steward LOINC. Also, we have learned a great deal about interoperability and user needs since LOINC was developed in 1994. We will drill deeper and discuss current goals of semantic interoperability that are the basis of our efforts to modernize LOINC’s content and concept model.
