2016 BMW S1000XR Service Reminder Reset

This video shows how I reset my Service Reminder Light on my 2016 BMW S1000XR Premium Motorcycle. This is how I performed this function, and there are other devices and methods for doing this. Please do your research and make the right decision before purchasing any equipment or software.

DJI Phantom 3 Advanced First flight

This was my Quadcopter's first outside "P" Mode flight. Wind was 17 mph, gusting to 27 mph. Needless to say less than ideal flying conditions. I kept it short, checked all the basic functions, and landed successfully. Looking forward to some agreeable weather (Go 2.4.2 F/W v1.5.0030)
Is this for any non usd s1000r? My bike has a obd2 and not that circle connector
I’m really not sure…. The motoscan app SHOULD work with an OBD2 port as well. The round plug uses the adapter shown in the video, which converts from an OBD2.
Great video. Would the OBD link LX reader work as well?
No, it may read some codes, but will not allow you to reset the service light.
Can you reset the throttle bodies with this app, I used to get the garage to reset every time as it made a difference to the vides from the engine, be great to do myself with this app.
The Motoscan App is primarily an OBD2 code reader. It's very thorough with the systems on the XR, but mainly for reading error codes, resetting them, and displaying real time data. The ability to program systems is beyond its scope. Motoscan.de is the developer's web site, and gives a complete rundown of the features.

The Motoscan App for Android will work with all BMW motorcycles through the early 2000's. I have never worked on the S1000RR, so I can not speak from personal experience, sorry.

Halo. I brought the obdlink mx2 . But I can't use it. Don't I need to download the obdlink app Too?
No, you do not need the obdlink app for the XR. You do need the MotoScan App. You will need a 'paid for' version to cancel the Service light. The Motoscan App will connect to the Obdlink mx2... admittedely it was the 2nd try for me on the initial set up.

Hi nice video. I have a question. In order to reset do you need to buy a licence? Will the basic version reset the service light? Thx
You must have a paid version to reset the Service Light. The Free version will let you read codes, and do limited things.
@@martinmcc.6237 Hi. So I got the dongle before your reply and I figured it out. Now I have a question even after purchasing ultimate version I don't have an access to some options, like headlights electronics. Do you have an access to all options?
I'll have to take a look. It might be possible some features aren't available for the XR, or the U.S. models. Motoscan is developed in Germany. Worth a gander though.

The P3A has been a reliable bird. Great photo/video drone for amateur stuff. Just Got the Spark Flymore this Christmas. Love that little flyer too. Fits in a motorcycle saddlebag.... takes great photo/video too.
