    Taking these apart requires delicacy and finesse. You need to proceed like a surgeon. You are brute-forcing everything. Not good. If you can't disassemble something without marring and mangling it you shouldn't even try. Suggestion: Don't ever consider becoming a surgeon.

    I cringed each time a knife was used to pry things open in this video. After taking apart my Keurig 2.O K200 that was leaking from the bottom, I concluded that the only difficult piece to remove is the black collar (3:54). I just happened to have a plastic prying tool and put it in the back space (4:11). By leveraging the tool, the back separated enough from the collar to get screwdrivers in and do the same as the video. The silver piece (1:22) is easy to take off with no damage. Just use follow brighamyoung7301's advice. Once the two screws are removed at the top (5:18), ensure the top is no longer flush in the space and pull the front down - that is how to not break the plastic tabs as the front is designed to slide up to lock it in place. Overall, 8 screws hold the Keurig 2.0-200 together, but the outside plastic slides to make a perfect fit. In my water leak situation, the plastic tee deteriorated (similar to what curtwelch discussed below). Replacing it with a 1/4 irrigation barb tee ($3 for a 10 pack at your hardware store) restored the Keurig back in operation with no water leak. If I have to replace my other Keurig's tee, then I would consider getting a pressure relief valve added but the $5 cost for something similar with $20 shipping is not worth it right now.

    I got a Keurig K-Express for $50 at walmart. It's the ultimate fix for all my troubles with my previous Keurig. This one makes hotter coffee, is easier to use, doesn't have a kanipsha if i cancel a brew, just great -- and is finally cheap enough to be a throw-away when broken (which is what I think they want you to do, lol j/k)

      If you're trying to do this yourself(I'm not sure how tech savvy you are). You'll probably want to go through some preliminary diagnostics. For example: checking to make sure your wall outlet has power, checking if the steamer is working, checking the brew option is working, checking if there are any lights etc, then continue to narrow down from there.

    I don't mean to pile on, but this "tutorial" is not done well. I was so hopeful since this is the only video I could find on the Keurig 2.0 K200 model like mine. Maybe for future tutorials, you might want to practice tearing it down once before you record so you sound like you know what you are doing.

      So, Kevin, what you're saying is you had a better understanding of how to take apart your Keurig before you watched this video? Is that right? You'd be better off never having seen it? Did you eat a lot of paint chips when you were a kid? Your comment is not done well. It's a coffee maker, not a nuclear submarine. Showing us the incorrect way is just as valuable as showing us the correct way, maybe even more. Think it through instead of complaining because some of us appreciate the guy who is willing to break theirs so we don't have to break ours. And by the way, learn how to search for content on YT before you comment so you sound like you know what you are doing: ruclips.net/video/yDmEIgWT_D8/видео.html

    LOL this is a video of how to destroy a machine without need. the fact is that taking the 4 screws below and pushing cover up removes it entirely without taking smaller sections apart. .... reason why they only have those screws... I was able, ME a WOMAN, to take it apart AFTER seeing the entire video that breaks tabs and ends up doing what I did,. Poor video and please my ex taught me that knives are not tools except to cut meats.... LOL

    6:41 no, you shouldn't be able to look through it, there's a valve in there that only opens at certain pressure. If you were able to look through there, you are missing the valve and and you'll be leaking water all the time.

  • @yeahitworks
    @yeahitworks 2 года назад

    1:06 that switch/relay does not activate the steamer. That switch/relay activates the pump when in brew mode so you can dispense hot water. When the machine is in steam mode, that relay/switch does nothing. the knob just release pressure from the boiler and you get the steam.
