Great video Mark, very helpful indeed, currently installing the gearbox whilst watching at the same time 🙌🙌🙌 love the quality of the WillSpeed gearbox, can’t wait to run next week 🙌🙌🙌
Is it easy to get parts for yokomo so-2 and the new so-3 here in the UK ? The thing is the B7 needs so much money spending on extra parts to make it what it should be out of the box...or am I looking at it from the wrong angle? Xray still seems to be the reference for quality.. I am, of course, open to be educated if I am wrong
Yes no issued worldwide for yokomo spares,we are very lucky in UK with MB models being the yokomo importer. Yes the car doesn't need much out the box at all, the 3.0 with some stiffer springs will be spot on out the box! Agree some cars out there need lots spending on them to get them dialled in so the 3.0 or 2.0 is a great choice
@MH-RC cheers !!!
Great vid hope it runs well on test ? I’m thinking these mods could really help a ld3d run on carpet would you agree and what would be needed to change pills and drive shafts?
Thanks! yes this gearbox has been a great addition to the car and WS have sold over 100 of them at launch with great feedback from customers. My car is stock with the rear end but understand people use the D driveshafts and pills on carpet but I am yet to try this
What ld3 is it stock spec or
It was built from a LD3M as we run mod in UK (6.5t motor)
Any news on the newer SO3.0 will stack to the 2.0? And would the 2.0 run good on carpet all stock aside from upgrades you did?
tbh the 3.0 wont be a huge change handling wise but nicer with all the graphite parts etc, be marginal gains, I am just going to add some 3.0 parts to my cars as its new
Thanks
Good video..th
How do I get your setup for car 2wd car
@@waynerc2420 if you go to Chris foster Rc Facebook page it’s there or find me on Facebook and I’ll message you a copy
Where is the Servo brace from?
And the rear sway mount from to
All from SEMCS, its a Fuzion brace and TWR rear roll bar mount
Great video Mark! love the updates. Great vid.
Thanks mate! Keep up the great work your end!
Can you use this transmission with the spur gear lockout for 17.5 stock racing?
wow you built the whole car without actually showing how to do anything, that's a special talent, not a lot of help to anyone but still kinda amazing....
It came part built so just went over it and re checked everything and added all the option parts
@@MH-RChis name is rather apt
@@Al3xisAE lol yes!
Love my Yokomos, my Cal 3.1 will still lap the same times as my B7, the B7 gives me confidence to push, then I do it with the Cal and it goes faster again!
Nice, 3.0 is about to be available though 😅
Very nice,looks really good 👌👌
Very nice, great vid
Thanks very much! :)
Awesome looking bit of kit!
Listened to you on that podcast the other night. Was struggling to get to sleep. Did the trick 😜
@@kentonian 😂😂 bit harsh!
Great work, Ordered will be fun to test and race
@@swebrick great stuff have fun with it and hope it goes well for you!
Where did the gearbox half with the hole it come from?or did you drill the hole?
Its just std cal3 gearbox in the car, no holes drilled in it
Great clear update mate thanks for sharing 👍👍
I like the video, interesting comments about buying other parts. Why not work on the real thing that makes the car quicker, how it is driven. I feel buying stuff is fun but thinking about how we drive like hitting apexes and tight lines and being consistent is the real way to go faster.
Alloy shock tops are much better. No risk of popping off
Superb run through of your car setup. It’s often not widely known what changes do what, particularly as many regular racers don’t get to sit with team drivers. Thanks for sharing 👍
Alloy front C hubs are a good buy. Alloy front wheel hubs not so much :(
Whats up with the Alloy Wheel Hubs?
Thoroughly enjoying watching this. Thank you so much for putting in the time and effort to make these videos. Feels like I’m there🙏✌️
Glad you enjoyed it! Felt really under the weather in the afternoon at the event but glad I stayed and finished the meeting, looking forward to going racing again soon!
Great video, looking forward to how you get on with the LD3. What colour is the body? Is it PS-32, Corsa grey?
Thansk! Its Core RC shark grey paint
Look forward to the blog on Sunday mate
Have you done the UJ driveshafts also, same as Ben? Seems to be mentioned for indoor carpet.
No not yet, just stock rear end but something I want to try when the D parts come back into stock
Awesome video , can’t wait to hear about the big race!
Also you might want to glue up the side wall on the splinters, but will be grip dependant on the day.
Pistons might be a bit soft, i use 3x1.5 front and 3x1.6 rear for indoors.
Thanks, they were ok but went to 450cst in the front which made it better, thanks for the advice
what rollbar are you using, xray? im trying to fit on a cal 3.1 and it looks like the angle of the rollbar is too shallow and it doesnt reach the WB rb mounts.
Hey Mark, Gearbox slipper on the other side? Did i miss something
Been running an RB6 at our local club this season, and just recently got my hands on an RB7 preparing it for next season. Got the siderails printed and have some sworkz arms on the way. Thank you for still providing information on this old platform 👍
This RC10 looks fantastic. You've done a fantastic job of it my man. If your going to make it legal for racing.... Are you up for selling the other bits? I've been looking for the new front hubs and CVDs or CVAs as they call them these days!? I know its cheecky but thought it was worth a punt! Either way, great job my man!!
Are you running a vintage Stealth transmission or did you find a way to mount something more modern? I love seeing more modern arms and shock working on a vintage RC10. Great car!
So front blue and rear green for carpet?
Yes thats right on EOS carpet
So many Illegal mods 😎 its a great lipo mount for the money, nice to see you found one in the end 👍is the RC 10 running at revival ?
haha, yes need to get this legal again as I built it years ago before we had re re etc, no plans for revival I am afraid, one day!
@@MH-RC be good to see you up there one day 👍
Looks very capable, and neat. Any running footage?
Not yet.... must take it to the track soon and give it a run, should be soon!
I guess your customer is too lazy to do this himself.
This b74 looks like my 22x-4
Nice video! Just found your channel. Nice to see how to, tips and tricks for set-ups. You make this old RC guy wish my hands and eyes would allow me to race again 😒 Always loved buggy classes. Nothing was better than having a well set-up buggy smoothly ripping around an off road track.
Ever weigh the total wire you've cut-off? Curious how much weight was saved with your wiring "clean-up". Back when I raced decades ago and shaved weight anywhere I could. People seem to forget copper wire, for what it is, is heavy.. Great Video = new sub
something to do when the wife is having one of those days.
I don't use wires or solder. I connect my Motor, ESC, Servo, and Receiver via Bluetooth. It has that Pro Platinum look.
Looks really good👌👌
Can't wait to try mine
With the crimping of the wires, I find it easier to put the connector in the tool first and start the crimp so it just holds the connection. Then put the wire in and crimp away.
Ok cheers for the tip, I’ll give it a try on the next one
Cable management for the win! Bravo! new sub!
Thanks for the sub, much appreciated
