👋 Hello, my name is Spyros and I am not sure if I should call myself an artist, a street photographer or neither of those. Titles set aside, I have a passion for capturing moments and places the way I see them and the way they are.

Architecture Photography From 20mm to 400mm | Sony A7C II
This time I wanted to try something new and for this reason I travelled to a very unique area with the purpose of shooting some awesome architecture photography. My goal with this video is to show you how to approach this type of photography and also how you can blend street and architecture photography together.
To make things more interesting I brought with me a combo of lenses that can capture photos from 20mm all the way to 400mm. In this video you will be able to see how you can use both wide and longer focal lengths to become more creative when shooting architecture photography. I hope you enjoy the journey!

The 20-70mm f4 seemed to work pretty well, was this all handheld? I’ve got the 24-50mm on its way but it was very close between the two, one reason in favour of the 24-50mm was lowlight!
@@raturnbull5523 Yeah all the videos and photos were handheld. Honestly the stabilization of the Sony a7c II is incredible so even at f4 you get awesome photos. I usually dont shot wider than f4 when doing street photography to make sure my entire frame is in focus and this lens works for me. I also love that I can shot at 20mm without buying a seperate wide lens. But having a lens at f2.8 is very tempting too I have to agree, you cant go wrong with either option 💪

Finally pulled the trigger on the A7CII myself a couple of weeks ago after commenting on another video of yours... I got the 85mm with it as a first prime lens but i'm now looking into getting a zoom and was debating between the sony 20-70 F4 and the sigma 24-70 mark II... My biggest concern is the 20-70 wouldn't hold up with street photography at night? Have you tried using the 20-70 at night, what kind of results did you get if you did?
Wooohooo great to hear man! Welcome to the Sony club 👌I personally went for the 20-70 because I wanted to have a wider lens. The extra 4mm gives you more creative options for landscape, architecture photography, vlogging etc. This lens has incredible performance for both photography and videography and provides incredibly sharp photos even at F4. I also have used it shooting at night (for ex. see this video from Tokyo 👉 ruclips.net/video/W614ybRRO6g/видео.html) and I absolutely love it. When it comes to street photography I personally rarely shot below F4 because I want to have a big DOF and ensure most of my scene is in focus. The 24-70mm F2.8 is also a great option and indeed will give you an extra stop of light (especially useful for cinematography at night) and a better bokeh (you may be able to do some decent portrait photography too). It all depends on what you want to focus on shooting 😊 What do you think about the Sony A7C II so far?
@@dumspyrospero Oh right, i'll go and watch that vid of yours then for sure! I love the A7CII so far! Coming from a Ricoh GR III... so the difference is huge haha! Gotta love the look 85 gives you but turns out im more into shooting scenes with context so i'm eager to get one of these zoom lenses.
@@AlexandreHebertChevalier haha yeah the difference switching to full frame is huge 💪 I also have a 85mm lens but I only use it for portraits so indeed for street photography I would recommend 24-70 or 20-70 and later on you can look into prime lenses too. I visited the island of Skopelos and filmed this video in May when the island was at its quietest and the weather was already good. This way I had the space and time to take all the shots I wanted and also to interact with the locals. I hope this photographic journey brings you those relaxed summer vibes I experienced. @@PeteD haha indeed it is very cold and windy up there (i visited in March) but the view is totally worth it. Also it is easier to get tickets for the night time 😜
