Strides4CJD Bakersfield PSA
Join us on October 6 as we walk in memory of those affected by Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD). CJD is a prion disease in which a protein misfolds in the brain, causing others to misfold with catastrophic effects.
This year, we are walking in memory of Mayor Harvey L. Hall, Natalie Myers, Khachatur Manukyan, Irene Frances Petris, Eric Werner, Lee Gallagher, Lisa Marie Dunnagan, Raymond Sullivan, and Rita McCormick.
Strides for CJD - Bakersfield includes a remembrance ceremony, a short walk around the CSUB campus, lunch, and prize giveaways. The event begins at 9 a.m. and wraps up shortly after noon. Come spend your morning with us and support prion disease medical research and the programs...

I participated in Strides for CJD in 2019 in memory of my father Arturo de la Cerda former city manager of the Delano and Maricopa. I plan on continuing to participate in strides for CJD until there is a treatment and the cure for CJD and other prion related diseases #curecjd #strides4cjd #curepriondisease
