I have spent the past 15 years focusing my career on 5th wheel hitches and properly equipping trucks with the 5th wheel hitch that works best the the truck and person towing. I have worked for PullRite 5th wheel hitches for many years and have subsequently used nearly every 5th wheel hitch on the market.
I will be providing videos to help educate on 5th wheel hitches.

Add more length and a short bed you definitely want a super glide, which is rewlly hard to beat. But the weight and removal isnt good. 275 lbs for the 24K ram puck system a real inconvenience, border line PIA.
Nick will a no lube plate interfere with the hitch? I’ve heard both yes and no. Can you do a video demonstrating that I would or would not please. That would be great content
Is the pullrite compatible with the rota-flex pinbox
@esemiguelito3246 yes it is!
what is the max radius turn for short bed (f250 short bed)
Why didn't you show the pullrite as you got in position? Also, if the trailer is prevented from backing up by an obstruction such as a rock, does the hitch slid forward causing the cab clearance to unexpectedly decrease?
the bolts doesn't need to be tight ?? it seems just snug but not tight
Ford's been doing this from factory for years!
My SuperGlide jaws are jumping away from the tooth track preventing the jaws from opening and closing. Can you provide a solution please?
If your pitched at 90 degrees your not moving the trailer straight back. Why would you get yourself in that situation.
Agee please explain. I back mine deep into the spot. No way your continuing backward unless you unhook.
Nick what do I look for in a used fifth wheel hitch?
Any advise on a curt slider? Mine has that same movement and chucking
Terribly biased review. I owned the Pullrite and used it tow an 18k lb Toyhauler, worked great and didn't have any concerns. However, you absolutely could have done a 90 degree angle with the Anderson and most likely would have had the same space as you did with the Pullrite. Then you talked about the height issue with the bed rails. Why not raise the ball on the Anderson?? It has the ability to do that, just decided to move right past that? Frustrating that I came here for an honest review and didn't get it, what a waste of time.
Orrrrr….dont be a dumba$$ and just buy a long bed and the lightweight easy to remove Andersen hitch like me.
As limited as the Andersen turns, it's still better than a travel trailer...
If you do another video. Add checking the torque of the castle nut on the hitch roller and the condition of the roller washers and the roller sleeve to annual maintenance.
I appreciate the review l, but it would be so much more informative and balanced if you would have filmed both of them showing corresponding clearances while actually maneuvering. Doing it for the Anderson and not on the pull-rite leaves the viewer wondering why the really critical segments were left out ☹️
Tell me you are sponsored by Superglide without telling me you’re sponsored by Superglide. 😂
Superglide, good hitch but don't even think about taking out of you truck bed by yourself because it ain't gonna happen. Thing weighs too much!
I appreciate this video on what to check and tighten. Question for you: I want to raise my 2900 Super Glide and see there is a kit to purchase where the hitch can be raised 1 1/2 of an inch. I'm trying to make sense of the pics on the web site. Will this work with the Ford puck system?
Just bought that hitch in the 2714 model. But I have heard backing up with this hitch is a little different. Never owned a 5th wheel before but have towed quite a bit. Looking for a vid on backing up with this slider hitch and it is very hard to find.
👋 In all honesty, I can't tell the difference between different types of 5th wheel hitches when I'm backing up. Based on my experience, I would argue that there is no difference. However, the fact is that the point that the trailer and truck pivot when turning does change things a bit. Think 5th wheel vs travel trailer. The difference Between backing a travel trailer vs a 5th wheel is pretty big. This is due to the travel trailer pivoting 40+ inches behind the rear axle of the truck and a 5th wheel right over the rear axle. A Superglide keeps this pivoting point over the axle until the truck and trailer reach a 10 degree angle. At this point the pivot point slowly climbs rearward as that angle is being produced. Therefore, I suppose the difference is that the trailer becomes more responsive of the truck forcing the turn as that turn is made. So, the best advice to handle this is to start correcting your truck back in line with the trailer a little bit sooner when backing. (I'm not sure this entirely makes sense but I think you're right, a great video opportunity!
Thanks for the video Nick
Tips for hitching and unhitching on ground slightly lower or higher, truck vs. trailer.
I’m looking at the super glide but my parking spot is at an angle with the truck lower than the trailer. Will I still be able to un-hitch?
Well I probably will never go any bigger, however I did go ahead and get the 20k model just to be on the safe side
I have a 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500HD that has a 6ft 7in standard bed. The 5th wheel I’m getting is a Keystone Cougar that has what is called Maximum Turn Radius front end. Would the PullRite still be the way to go?
Good hitch, but you better have 3 other guys around if you ever want to take it out of your truck bed.
Hi Nick thanks for all you do for us out here. I have a question for you. I'm thinking about swapping my b&w slider for a super glide. My 5er is just over 14k. I have the option of a 16k or 20k hitch do you recommend just going with 20k?
Hey Rick! Sorry for the delay on my response here. You know, this is tough to say because the 16k is PLENTY of hitch for what you are doing today. HOWEVER, if there is a possibility for a larger coach in the future, the price difference now is relatively small and a well maintained Superglide will last for MANY years!
Great video. Just recently watched a video from Irene Iron Travels when they reviewed and showed your help with the install of the pullrite auto slide. I have a 22 ram 2500 and it seems the only system pullrite offers for the ram puck system is the 24k lb which is significantly more costly than the 16k version offered for ford and GM. Is there the lower capacity option for ram? Thanks
Hey! Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, due to the advertised towing capacity, EXTRA SHORT cab to axle distance, and torque production of the Ram, we only make a 24k that slides 18" for that particular puck system. So, I guess what I'm saying is that the #2315 has some other advantages, beyond the higher capacity, custom tailored for your Ram that the lighter capacity hitches don't offer. If you follow Irene iron travels, you'll soon see that they have recently gotten this exact hitch for their new truck.
@nickthehitchguy7648 I really appreciate the quick reply and information. I mainly asked because I got away from diesel as I don't tow often and went with the 2500 with a hemi but definitely understand what you're saying if I did have the diesel with its hp and tq numbers. I wanted the 8ft bed but as I was buying used, I found a pretty nice truck with options I wanted and price but unfortunately short bed. That 18" of slide travel will definitely be nice! Thanks.
That’s why it’s better to Look for A Truck with 98” (8Ft. bed) Not the 6ft.Bed
Idk what this is but god bless you and gis bless America may the algorithm be forever in your favour

I have a 2015 Ram 3500 with Ramboxes. Looking for a safe setup so as not to contact the ramboxes. I have the BW turnover ball installed. Will the PullRite Superlite work with my setup? The trailer we are looking at has a Morryde Orbital installed.
Nick if I install the bolt I can't just push the arm down I would have to use a C clamp to get the bolt in I think it to tight
I like how you didn't show the loading of the super glide. Definitely seems like you have a bias against the andersen. Curios if you have tried the reese goose box?
Those plates look like spacers
You can and could have done a. 90% with and Anderson. I've been using Anderson for years now and can use to have to do almost a 90 to get it into where I park it in my driveway and it's not even and I have a slightly steep drive and have probably 6-7 inches between bed and bottom of trailer and have gotten into several tight spots with zero issue with my short bed f350. Also I don't need 3 people to take my hitch out. I can also haul more things in bed because of the open design. Must make more money off selling the pull rite I would guess...
I love mine. It is so easy to clean and maintain.
I’m not sure why you choose to not use the Lippert installed Turning Point swivel hitch that you paid for when you got the Reflection 260RD trailer. I see it installed on the trailer in the video. You could unlock it by taking the two bolts out of the back of the pen box. Then reinstall the wedge in the hitch up by the pin, that you had to remove to make this video. Then use a cheap Reese 18K hitch in the truck. The turning point hitch will allow as much as a 90 degree turn, and made for lightweight short bed trucks.
Even after several years, this is still a good video to watch and rewatch as a refresher from time to time. Thanks again.
Thank you for the informative video!!!!
This is a good hitch. Don’t get me wrong and I own one. But it is absolutely not good for tight quarters because you have to have your truck and trailer straight in line within just a few degrees or you can’t unhook or hook back up. After living with mine for two years, I would definitely just look for a tow vehicle with a long bed from now on.
Great video. I went out and checked my hitch, everything was loose. I made the proper adjustments per your video. The large pivot bolt was dry as a bone. I greased it up good and and tightened it up to your specifications. Thx again
Hey Nick the rocker arm springs back and the nut will not tighten. Looks like the spacers on either side of the rocker arm are worn.
Can you send me a picture of what you have going on? Nickm@pullrite.com
Thanks for the video. Do you have a link to the 2710 shims? I do a search on the Pullrite website and other websites and nothing pulls up.
Thank you Nick for another great video. We are very happy with our SuperGlide and would recommend it to others.
Hey Nick I have a question for you. I usually use red lube for the hitch and the plate so it doesn’t scratch but I noticed in one of your videos you just use WD-40 on those areas as well? Will this do the job as good as the lube without the mess? I wish I could use a plate on there as standard hitches with no mess but I don’t think it works that way anyways well WD-40 work. Thanks.
Yes it will! It probably won't be quite as effective as grease but will certainly be a little less messy. I use WD-40 and just give it a squirt every time I hook up vs greasing OCCASIONALLY.
Also, what is the part numbers for the anti-chucking pieces? I looked on the website and couldn’t find them if you could help that would be great. Thanks.
Ok so the main thing I’m taking away from this video is that ford made a short bed dually! I need to find one of these asap lmao
Thank you for this video! Very informative to a newbie 5th wheel owner like myself. Ironically, I had already chosen the Super Glide but your video gives me that extra confidence.
I own the super glider hitch the disadvantage is you can’t disconnect the hitch at extreme angles or connect at an angle. You can’t get the capture plat to engage with the hitch
