Superfortress Experience: The B 29, Then and Today

"Superfortress Experience - The B-29, Then and Today" relates the B-29 experiences of a father and son, 70 years apart (1952-2022).
The Boeing B-29 Superfortress, first flown in 1942, began active service in 1944, strongly contributing to turning the tide in the latter years of World War 2 in the Pacific theatre against Imperial Japan.
Boeing engineered the B-29 to replace older B-17s and B-24s, to incorporate the longer range and greater bomb loads necessary for Army Air Force operations to defeat Japan.
