Thanks for your comment! A pool can certainly enhance the aesthetics, but in the Bay Area, you’ll only get about three months of use out of it. The rest of the year, especially after sunset, it get a little chill. A lush green lawn probably better option.

@ariswu I grew up in Sausalito. I fully know the prices of the Bay Area. Back when I was younger, those prices could have afforded you the finest Bay Area home. Thankfully, I left California years ago to live in a well run city and state. Something like that can be purchased for under $200,000 in my area and would be considered low-end affordable housing. People are stupid to pay those prices for a small apartment-like condo. Do what we did, and take your high 6 figure remote job, and move somewhere else. It's better to be rich in a southern state than to be poor in San Jose.
