A 'Sega Mega Drive / Genesis remix' of Plastic Love by Mariya Takeuchi with a complementary aesthetic video. The track was made using a MIDI and a soundfont with samples recorded from the Mega Drive, and was not sequenced for real hardware, so it isn't really that authentic. Tell me this is an unused Sonic 1 music track without telling me this is an unused Sonic 1 music track. Definitely feels like it. Maybe Sonic Team could'nt get the rights to use it, so they made their own song for Star Light Zone.

umm actually the average fps of a vhs is 24-30fps not 50/60 🤓
Not really, it's 50/60 interlaced half-frames per second, so when correctly displayed on a CRT, the motion is smooth, and looks like 50/60fps, as long as the source was 50/60fps (if it was shot on analog video, not film, it is). You can find correctly deinterlaced VHS footage on RUclips.

Thank you! I used a cheap digital Sony camcorder (HDR-CX240) and added the VHS effect listed in the description. I'd really like to make these videos even more authentic and get a real tube camera and a videotape recorder someday though.

how do you make these, i always wanted to make something like this.
I just take the MIDI of the song, open it in Musescore and apply an instrument from the Mega Drive soundfont on each track. Then I adjust the mixing and export it. I used to use FL Studio before, but they dropped soundfont support unfortunately. Definitely try it, it's a lot of fun!
