Careful, you don’t want him to get a rotator cuff injury for being in gingerbread defense position for so long. Serious question , what the actual F does ‘slow is smooth, smooth is fast, really mean?’ It’s a bunch of mumbo jumbo.
Idk about here but in general Think about something that takes some level of precision for example putting a key into a lock. If you try to do it as fast as possible you are likely going to miss the hole at least a few times. But if you slow down and insert it smoothly into the lock then in the end slower will be faster than the first method.
😂😂
I see... line, circle, line. (forearm, fist, elbow.) With torque and marriage of gravity on the lines. Continuity of motion.
The rithem outstanding!
Not sound effects. Some people struggle to dance because they can’t carry a rhythm. Pro tip: Rhythm starts in the brain and flows through the body. The speed of your thoughts determines how well you sync with the music. The sounds we make help guide our movements. Think about that before commenting.
Boxers exhale on punches it's no different really and helps breath control and the relax tense relax tense movements IMO.
Notice how height, width, and depth are subtly achieved here. If you don’t understand the principles that make power effortless, it’s okay-this might not be the thing to comment on. Simply watch the science in action.
Likely need the small push drag for the elbow because of distance. Also adds backup mass. And settling adds torque and MoG.
I love this stuff. I enjoy your teaching method and explanation of the mechanics. Well done 👍🏼
How is this legal? Can you carry a knife that long for defense?
😂😂😂😂😂
Legit school, people learning to fight
Good control, great training partners. Thank you for sharing the videos. I look forward to seeing all of them. Salute 🤜🏼🫷🏼🙏🏼
Excellent 👍🏾
This is a beautiful and powerful martial art.
Love The flow of kenpo 🏆❣️🙌🏾
I dont know much about knife fighting, but wouldnt u want to be in a fencing stance with knife in the hand above your lead foot? I would think you would want to be more stabby vs slashy too...
It's great when your opponent just stands there
@@ahbalone 🤣😂 there’s a legit comment 🤦🏽♂️
I greatly appreciate the efficiency with the Kempo approach for knife defense from various angles - thrust stabs, slashing, overhead hammer stab, etc. The system really programs you to react without thinking but as an automation.
I sure wish I could be there once in a while, miss GM Parker's way,.. hi Steven hope you're doing well
Very good instruction. However, knife wounds are horrible. Avoid such a conflict as much as possible.
Very nice technique, Excellent intentional motion!!!
❤🏆👍🏾
Actually genuine knowledge on knife stirking aswell as distribution of force
Poor guy, that must hurt!
Elbow destruction vibes
A knife fight is so unpredictable. Just run my dude distance is the best defense 💯 👌
@@benwillis2064 Very true, run if you can.
Hard to believe Grandmaster Parker has left the Earth for almost 40 years now. His impact to the Martial Arts world is incredible.
Interesting demonstration, sir 😁👍
Me encanta el trabajo de kenpo con cuchillos.
Successful defense against a blade does not exist. If someone is bound to cut you; you're going to get cut. Its best to not frequent those areas where a fight is likely. If you're going to learn knife fighting, learn attack techniques only.
Yh but training can increase ur chance of survival
I think he was teaching fighting with a knife in this instance.l
THANKS FOR SO CLEAR EXPLANATIONS
Martial arts for good people. As should not be distributed
My late instructor once hit me on the mid inside of the bicep during sparring. It stopped the fight instantly. Not only did it temporarily incapacitate my arm, but I broke into nausea and sweats.
I’m sticking with Muay Thai and BJJ
great entry and it show finish with a sweeping reverse dragon sweep or a reverse hook kick to the head with the left leg. Master Kempo says clear with the kicks after incapicatating
There's no need to hurt the uke. Respect his body and his trust.

I learn something from every one of your videos. You're an effective teacher. Thank you for keeping Ed Parker's American Kenpo alive and well. Thank you. Salute.
Very simlura moves in Okinawa GojuRyu
Bagus.... Menginspirasi
Looks like 2 soccer players going at it 😅
Dang Sir! You giving home lessons? Sign me up!!!! lol Great work, love your videos. They represent Mr Parker greatly!
This looks like Broken Twigs? Or maybe a variation?
So does buckshot 😅
Out of all these shorts This is the best😊
For when your opponent stands still....
Drills 🤦🏽♂️
Who do you think would win a street fight with no rules someone who's been doing kenpo karate for 10 years versus a boxer who's been boxing for 10 years
@@baronzz I grew up boxing since child hood to mid 20’s and I’ve done Kenpo for over 30 years. It depends on how smart the individual is but I’d put my money on the Kenpo guy if he knows how to use his feet. Boxers don’t kick. 🤷🏽♂️
@maxdojo1 agree and boxing doesn't teach attacking the eyes the throat and the groin
It all goes with the individual
Kenpo. For sure.
You don't box a boxer and boxers train with rules and just their fists
Real Street fighting. I still do this Im. 74. Dublin Tommy Jordon.
OoOuUaAahHhhh!!! 😂 What a champ taking the pain for us!
Uhhh 😂 bro sounded like you just busting
