I could get really high combo's too if I stop doing stupid stuff. For some reason I try to avoid using Counter when I should. Then, sometimes I use counter because I know the hit is coming, but the npc hesitates a few seconds. Or I punch in the opposite direction of what I am telling the controller to do.
