I love that handbrake positioned at the passenger door side. So that you can use both hands to operate the largest levers inside the car.

I LOVED my 114. I had a long drive into town & all I had to do was start her up, tell her to take me town then I would settle back & look at the beautiful scenery on route. She was magnificent. As another Volvo driver once said ‘You turn the key & you’re in Volvoland’.

Weird question but.. I am purchasing a '71 142 that has no AC and I plan to find an original system and I can place in mine. It's very difficult to find detailed photos of what the AC system looked like in a pre '74 140. Is there any way you could email me photos of the AC inside of your 144?

I want this car! I've always liked Volvos, particularly of this vintage, but I've never been able to find one in such beautiful condition.

I never thought I'd say this, but this is a nice looking Studebaker. I remember when I first saw a Studebaker Lark in person. I thought "what an ugly looking car! Who would drive something that ugly?" How wrong I was. Obviously there were people who did drive Studebakers and swore by them. Had I around at the time, I might have at least been willing to drive one.

I'd prefer this car over my Toyota Corolla.
