Thank you for posting. If it reads 4.8v and 12v is that faulty? does it need to be 0 to send spark? thanks
If its ok it should show you reading. In my case it was 12v because i was connected directly to battery to check if the hall sender is ok.

I want to rebuild my 88 1.8l 8v throttle body. Are there parts available to rebuild, if so where can I find them?
Hi, all the parts were reused after refab. The gasket that needed replacement i made from scratch. Sensors on the body were tested and cleaned. All the parts are the one that came from the trottle.
Is that measure ok???
It shows that the hall sensor is ok. The supply given on the input was meassured at the output.

Not a good "How to" video. More of a "Watch him do it fast" video. No instruction, no explanation, no details, didn't show removal of accessory belts which is what I needed most.
You are right. I'm small Channel everything I do, i do by myself so Yes maybe sometimes i choose wrong format but for me every upload is a learning process. What exactly You need and maybe i will help you out by writing it for You.
I had a problem with the oil did not up to cylinder head.. How I can fix that?
So first You should check if You have oil pressure. Next to check is the pick up screen if he is not clogged, then pressure valve in pump and finally pump it self. I don't think there is something else to check
16v crankshaft rod bearings torque nm? I have 9a engine is the same nm like KR?
Ok, so it looks like rod bearings are the same in KR and 9a so the torque will be 30Nm plus 90 degrees.

Opcje masz dwie. Pierwsza wycinasz dziurę od strony bagażnika w nadkolu, podejrzewam, że górne mocowanie zbiornika też masz zgnite, druga demontujesz amortyzator i kawałek po kawałku wycinasz i wstawiasz blachy. Robiłem obie metody, wycięcie dziury w nadkolu w bagażniku było najszybszym i najlepszym rozwiązaniem z tym, że tam też trzeba było łatać.
Hey man nice videos . In my manual the talk about step 2 for torque nm connecting rod caps Step 1 = 30nm Step 2 = 90degrees I cant see you talk about it No i wonder iff my manual is ok

This is absolutely NOT the way to strip 'any' gearbox. If you think the Professionals (with 2 years guarantee) are expensive, just wait until you tally up the costs of an amateur.
This one in the clip was a parts gearbox, the one that was rebuild is doing fine since it was put back together, but hey sure you are right, this was just to show the basics on how to tear it down

heyyy broski soo im planning on doing the same for my 1989 1.6 1.e golf what do i need to change/ addapt wiring wise? for the fuel system too ?
So, first of all the worst part is behind you because you got a ce2 car. The best solution is to go with mk3 tank with in tank fuel pump and for that you need original plug that goes with this tank. If you stay with original gearbox you dont have to chnage anything . You will probably have to do some changes to exhaust manifold as it can hit the gear linkage. If you run a mk3 coil pack you will also need to do some minor change in the wiring harness for the rpm to be shown on the clock. You stay with the mk2 mounting points, you will have to run bigger radiator from a turbo diesel version and double fans from ABF and if you stay with original mk2 gearbox you will have to stay with mk2 flywheel, clutch and starter motor from turbo diesel. I think its all that neeeds to be done to convert mk2 to ABF

How hard was it to swap?
The Aba swap that was first put i to car was pain due to convert needed from ce1 to ce2. The 2e swap was done in one week, start to finish. Because i swaped all harness on the car to ce2 and put a mk3 gas tank with in tank fuel pump.

@@UnleadedBuildsGarage I drive a Golf mk2 with the RP engine. I am gonna swap to 2.0 2E from -93. My plan is to do as little electric work as possible, just make the car drivable and nothing else. Do you think i have to remove any immobilizer or other stuff to make it work from this car? (I have an entire car with the engine plus all of the electrics which are needed.)
You got donor car so the whoole process will be easy and fast. If the car that has 2.0 has immo theres two ways to do it. First you do an immo deactivation or second you swap ignition switch with immo box to your mk2. About harness if you have 1.8 RP, you should have the ce2 harness so whoole engine harness is pług and play to your fuse box You will have to do two thinks to the harness. First is the rpm Reading which is diferent in mk2 and mk3 Second is the plug for fuel tank connection if you swap the tank. Engine will run on gearbox from mk2 so you dont have to change cv joints or do any thing to driveshafts. Hope this helps

Hi, it's normal engine oil. The same that later after assembly will be poured into to engine.

Hi, Thank You for Your comment. I still dont have full material for the part 4. I had little problem with my gear and been doing body work on a 86c polo fox, so i didnt have time for the 16v. Will post something soon. I will be doing some work to the fuel distributor so i will try and do a quick clip about it.

I have a GTI 16v ( the one in my profile pic.) unfortunately, I need to replace the engine due to a taping noise at the bottom of the engine... 😭
This one had been neglected for years, and the main bearings and rod bearings and oil pump shaft bearings were worn out. It was good timing to do this rebuild. Wish you luck with Your engine :)
Thats common. My valves have been tapping for 15 years.

Nice car and nice restauration! Small details, When are you going to put on the period correct bumpers(without the red line) and the correct gril (with only the 2 headlamps) And the muffler should be a 1 pipe exhaust. Keep going!!
Thank you for the comment. Car was imported from France in this condition and had 180k on the tacho and everything on him looked original. The exhaust was original vw product with one pipe splited to two tips, and my new exhaust is exactly like the previous one, also I have normal bumpers and 7 slat grill single lamp red stripe in storage but im keeping him the way i bought him, just because i like how he looks in this setup 🙂
Hey what does it cost in poland for a full car paint? Lets say a volvo xc70.
It's depends i paid 1k euro for a paint job on my mk2 gti, my friend paid 3k euro for his mk1 GTD paint job. Costs vary hard depending on where you paint the car. My friend did it in a profesional shop and they said its cheap because its small car and it had a hole cut out for falchdach, I did it in semi profesional shop. In the end the price for painting is an individual valuation of the painter.
