my original upload of this pissed off some keyboard warrior; so have the break clean as can be. sorry that my first take upload i recorded 10 minutes before playing a gig without warming up wasn’t clean, lmfao
I think I just got a music boner
I love it please no offense my girlfriend and bestie is Mexican but you look like a cholo 😂 and your playing a bluegrass anthem I love it
@@joshdavis1224 LOL i am from south america, so, almost??
Do you own it now?
@@OldBanjer absolutely not. going to talk to my friend Todd who is the owner, that is he ever wants to sell it, i will buy it. would literally sell my kidney for it. i’m not even joking
i’ve only played banjo for about 7 months, and i don’t think i qualified enough for a banjo that nice, BUT, at the same time, i am an Alison Krauss & Union Station/Ron Block superman, soooooo 😬
@@FlatpickRei oh wow. I had no idea Ron had sold it.
@@OldBanjer if you google ron block prewar for sale you can find the listing!
I can't relax enough to pick like that
@@wespurcell3217 keep workin on it! angle your finger picks, get a bluechip thumb pick (flows so much easier than anything else) and try 9-20’s!! it makes it so much easier to play!
@@FlatpickRei Beautiful, I own a 9-26 Granada in it's original Tenor neck form and Ball Bearings, very warm tone so much character and play Irish Music on it, I have a moment of appreciation every time I pick it up.
@@treesplease4053 that’s awesome! thanks for sharing :) Ron Block’s is also a ball bearing aswell :) it has such a great unique sound! definitely sounds as good in real life as it does on all the Alison Krauss records where it’s on!
Great job. I'm working on learning this now but you've got it down man!
@@SeanEgan-z1b high praise man! Thank you!
Very nice job!
Thanks, Clara!
what guitar is that?
It's In the title; it's a Bourgeois Banjo Killer
@@FlatpickRei ahh, i thought that was part of the song title haha. thanks. sounds great and really sounds similar to a banjo
@@nicholmanio it's a super unforgiving guitar. It's not boomy whatsoever like a Martin, any mistakes made on it stick out like a sore thumb
@@FlatpickRei i see.. you sure sounded pretty good on it though
@@nicholmanioI try
👋 from pemba Is that a loar lm 310 If it is I have one and I just got a new guitar and I took some sandpaper to it first thing.
Nice job brother!
the urge to delete this video because i left the poptarts box on the bed headboard
Are you a professional guitarist
NOT STROKING MY EGO, GLORY TO GOD, but i’ve played for years, have a distinct tone, great rhythm, record for people often, have great feel, and often make money with my craft, so yes i like to think i am a professional guitarist.
That's tremendous
sounds great. keep it up!
What kinda mandolin?
Who taught you to play guitar? Just strated plaing just looking for advice
a teacher in my area! it’s always good to check facebook for your local guitar teachers and their portfolios so they can teach you a style and techniques that suit you best
Fg red label?
Yup! FGX3 :)
wow great flat picking with a great bluegrass sound.. What year is the D18? unbelievable with light gauge Elixirs..The TAD-3R-60 is my favorite pick
thanks, Bill! it’s a 2023 model :) and i’m still getting use to the gauge LOL. i have tendinitis, so whenever it flares up i always go down a gauge or two. makes fingering fast much easier, but adds some complexity to fast flatpicking patterns.
