      i’ve only played banjo for about 7 months, and i don’t think i qualified enough for a banjo that nice, BUT, at the same time, i am an Alison Krauss & Union Station/Ron Block superman, soooooo 😬

      @@wespurcell3217 keep workin on it! angle your finger picks, get a bluechip thumb pick (flows so much easier than anything else) and try 9-20’s!! it makes it so much easier to play!

      @@FlatpickRei Beautiful, I own a 9-26 Granada in it's original Tenor neck form and Ball Bearings, very warm tone so much character and play Irish Music on it, I have a moment of appreciation every time I pick it up.

      @@treesplease4053 that’s awesome! thanks for sharing :) Ron Block’s is also a ball bearing aswell :) it has such a great unique sound! definitely sounds as good in real life as it does on all the Alison Krauss records where it’s on!

      @@nicholmanio it's a super unforgiving guitar. It's not boomy whatsoever like a Martin, any mistakes made on it stick out like a sore thumb

      NOT STROKING MY EGO, GLORY TO GOD, but i’ve played for years, have a distinct tone, great rhythm, record for people often, have great feel, and often make money with my craft, so yes i like to think i am a professional guitarist.

      a teacher in my area! it’s always good to check facebook for your local guitar teachers and their portfolios so they can teach you a style and techniques that suit you best

    wow great flat picking with a great bluegrass sound.. What year is the D18? unbelievable with light gauge Elixirs..The TAD-3R-60 is my favorite pick

      thanks, Bill! it’s a 2023 model :) and i’m still getting use to the gauge LOL. i have tendinitis, so whenever it flares up i always go down a gauge or two. makes fingering fast much easier, but adds some complexity to fast flatpicking patterns.
