how to join the elements irish crochet
Hi,in this tutorial, I would like to share how to join the elements for the irish crochet top . Hope you will enjoy crocheting with me.
In this tutorial, I used
- DMC Petra #5
- Crochet hook 1.0 mm
- Pin
- Polystyrene to make the base for hold elements
- Cotton fabric to make a top pattern

Hi from France! New sun here! I love this skirt as well as many of your items. I was wondering if we had to take the waist measurement or the hips please. If we take the hips wouldn’t it be too large on the waist? Have a nice day 😘😘 Do we need a multiple to start the chain please? A multiple of 4 +1 seems needed.

Good idea to widen the pattern to watch out for shrinkage. It would be horrible to make something beautiful then not be able to use it because it was too small.
When you block the garment (similar to knitted garments), hand wash the garment or just soak it, squeeze out excesss water and pin it out to the correct size on a thick folded towel and let it air dry. That will stop the shrinkage.

I tried to follow you but you don't pronounce your words right so as a medium level crocheter I'm afraid I can not figure out how to make it repeat itself
Have you tried watching it at 0.75 speed (or lower) to see the stitches more clearly? The close caption [cc] isn't to bad either. I followed it and there are only a few words that the auto capture didn't get, but they should be clear with the context of it and crocheter knowledge 😉 e.g. 'ears' is here, 'loaf' is loop, 'size' is side, 'design' is this side, 'when you meet make totals' is when you get to the desired length, 'chain fines' is chain 5, 'on this knives' is on this side, etc
