Thanks for your reply! Even though they are uncommon, what makes them dirty is that some attack the front of the throat instead of being a blood choke. The knee behind the neck was on the spine instead of the side.

They are allowed besides the fist in the back. Just don’t get caught. The knuckles in the throat might be illegal. I think you have to bend your knuckles like an ice cream scoop grip

People don’t know how tight it is until it is too late. I showed my guys the belly down one too! I almost feel bad going for this because it hurts so bad. Lol

If you get the first lapel in, it really slows everything down. I am able to hit it after practicing it quite frequently now.

It is. You can use any part of your gi. You can even use your belt as long as it is tied on your waist

This works well when you can’t wedge your arm under the chin. Grab your lapel (make sure you have a good connection when going for your lapel), go for the regular rear naked choke, if the chin comes up, bring the lapel under his chin and go for this choke. Hope I described it clearly enough. Sometimes it is harder to write than to just show it. Haha
