DC Black Label takes us back to a nitty-gritty post-depression era Gotham, where we meet Batman upon his first years. Some unknown menace is upon the city, and only Batman can save the day! With many small nods to the original comics, this book delivers a satisfying experience for both hardcore fans and those who know little-to-nothing of the caped crusader!

Mike you sold me on this one !!
You’re not supposed to eye drop any type of metal pens it will ruin them.
At $60 invested (Kickstarter price) I'm not worried... kind of my beater pen. Certain metals can oxidize from ink, titanium is not one of them so the body and section are fine. The inner part that holds the nib housing is aluminum with a coating on it. I don't know about extended use, but I had no I'll effects after keeping it inked up for about 2 months with semi regular use (every 3-4 days or so). Just my experience.
@ Must be nice to have money to throw away like that and not care about your pen that cost that much money.
@SandTguy it's a sliding scale. To the guy with a Porche, the Ferrari guy is rich. To the guy with the Toyota, the Porche guy is rich. To the guy with the bicycle, the Toyota guy is rich. To the guy who walks, the bicycle guy is rich. In the world of nice pens, under $100 is considered "entry level".
Cool stuff, seems really well made.
You really do not need to wipe the snorkel tube. The pen works perfectly well if you don't.
Seems to be my type of nib as I'm not the flexer par excellence, It's ok for me if a nib gives some flex when needed, I gave up Calligraphy as it takes me too long, I'm not the most patient guy. I was ready to give up on afforable flex nibs/pens when I tried the Kanwrite TITANIUM nibs with a Jowo threaded housing as a last try. Surprise, both of them, the EF Ultraflex with an ebonite feed and the F Flex with an enhanced plastic feed (deeper and wider ink channel) suits my flex demand in an excellent way. At 25 to 40 something they are affordable and do a great job.
Loved your details to the bits, the way you went about explaining from the start of these amazing pens made by Kelvin to how things evolved, stands out. Probably the best review I have seen thus far. Certain aspects that you highlighted indeed stand out, especially from someone who wants to use a pen for what it's meant to do, and that is writing. I recently discovered the machined pen, and USG/SPP seems to be mentioned everywhere, although I don't own it and feel I won't be getting it either, as they don't produce it any longer. I love the clip bolt action... appreciate your review. Cheers
They're really not great. They skip and all that like most lower-tier pen nibs, but also don't have much flex and get bent out of shape if properly pressed. Since the initial line is already very thick (tipped point, not untipped like a dip nib) the variation is poor. I don't understand why $25 is considered a bargain when dip nibs for calligraphy with better heat treatment (and thus flex) are 5-10. Granted you have to attach it to a feed and housing, but that's basically one piece of plastic. You woul notice more flex if you wrote pulling the stroke in the direction the pen is pointing, rather than diagonally with your wrist as you write. Turn your page diagonally and press hard to achieve copperplate, work slowly.
Thanks. I believe that I'll stick to my FPR Jaipur V2's and my Mag600. I do want to check out a BlueDew flex nib, and maybe a custom flex nib later this year.
I only experienced the FPR Flex nibs, and they are pretty good in my opinion. But I think practice makes perfection.
I tend to agree with this. They look amazing and are available in rose gold finish! I did put mine in a Jowo housing. I struggle with this one a bit because I dont think im heavy handed enough for it. As you said, it takes some pressure to make it flex, but as a daily writer, it is quite lovely.
Barrel of this pen is like vacumatic.
Worth it ❤
The Decimo had become my daily driver. Although I am switching from a medium nib to an extra fine. Most of my use is for my signature on bills. Most of the places i need to sign bills use cheap copy paper, so I need a finer line because the medium ends looking like i used a felt tip. Other than my nib selection, it is my most reliable pen!
Time flies!! It seems just like yesterday but I saw you last in 2024. LOL. Looking forward for the review.
Hi, quick question! I found this video because I've been having issues with my VP drying out (figured maybe there's dried ink??). When I use my bulb syringe to gently rinse out the barrel like you are doing, the water drips out the trap door fairly quickly...is this pretty expected for the pen, or could it mean there's an issue with the door mechanism?
Sounds like a door issue at first glance. I have not had water actively drip out the trap door once added on the 5 or so I've had/cleaned. To note, I just let water drip into the front-body with the trapdoor, I wasn't actually putting water pressure in there (which could maybe affect the trapdoor, i have not tried).
Excellent video. Thank you very much!
I recognized black isn’t my color at all. And I don’t like pale inks, hard to read for me.
Happy New Year! Congrats to Johny!
if not claimed will there be a rerole?
Congrats Johny
Happy new year hope its a prosperous one for you all....congratulations to the winner.
My favorite pen is my Chrismas Twinkle Benu! Happy new year!!!
I like the Pilot capless, just so usefull and easy to deploy, some people disagree because of the hidden nib and the clip but I personally enjoy it
Ooh I love the Lamy Ion! It is gorgeous! I love the Lamys I have. Especially nice? The ability to change your different-sized nibs so easily. You can sample different widths so seamlessly!
My fav pen: Pilot capless!
I like small pens
Fountain pens have taught me that my penmanship sucks, that I love ebonite, that I love gold flex nibs, and that I love sheening inks.
You and me both. Happy New Year.
@@santauxia Thanks. Happy New Year to you as well.
Grabbed the S90 1st and just ordered the M4. Really digging this design. Not much difference in price vs the minis
Hey, could you still include the Omni flex pen if you get close to 850, like 825 ? I was really looking forward to winning that pen
Definitely the mont blanc 149
I just love the platnium preppy, so smooth
I love my Titanium Ensso Bolt (EF). I carry it in my purse in a pen-case and no sign of leakage in the case even though the purse gets dropped and tossed around. It writes immediately even after over a week of not being used. In fact I like it so much I just ordered the new brass version.
My favorite pen is the Pilot Custom 92, or Maybe the Kakuno…I mean for $11 I love, love love it.
Congratulation on your milestone! My favourite pen of the year is the Noodler's Ahab with a Goulet #6 black EF nib. The pen was a gift from a friend which already made it special to me. I then spent a long time adjusting it to work the way I wanted. While doing that I got to know my fountain pen on an almost personal level which deepen my bond for it. It is not a pen for beginners but it was really fun tinkering around with it throughout the year. Honestly it may be my favourite all time pen.
My favourite pen is the pelikan m800 in green stripes with medium nib. Nice
Merry Christmas! Loved the video! Killer selection brother! Awesome that you love to rock with your small makers. Really honored to by on that list! Sincerely, RtPenCo!
Congrats on this milestone! My favorite pen is the Sailor Professional Gear Slim Shikiori. Honestly, I love every pen in their pgs series. Happy holidays!
Happy holidays everyone! My favourite pen of the year has to be the Diplomat Viper (Blue Guilloche). Although it was a single nib size release, it’s a lovely and affordable offering with a really satisfying cap and great quality. Good luck to us all, and thanks for hosting the giveaway!
Dude, Merry Christmas! Keep rocking the awesome videos!

My favorite is the pilot falcon. Lovely flex nib and very controllable.
My favorite pen is the lamy safari, such a classic starter pen
My favorite pen would be the pilot flex nibs, just so fun to write with
