Is a ac induction motor the same as a ac generator mmotor?
Excellent sir!
I think you missed the back emf produced in the rotor circuit, which gave the rotor the necessary torque to rotate. in the working of synchronous motor, the rotor shaft is rotated with some the help of a prime mover, till it gets magnetically locked with rotating stator magnetic field, the rotor then starts rotating at synchronous spped. When is the DC supply applied??
