I love the isolation from the connected world, the sharing of stories, the lasting friendships formed, the deeper understanding and connection to the river delta and the vast beauty and bounty it provides. this is great , I was born in Grayling Michigan and I watch him growing up and I remember when everyone found out him and Serge Corbin were paddling the marthon together everyone knew it was going to be the greatest team ever! I followed the record breaking year because my uncle paddled and remember being in the youth race , and his son being in it ! He's a icon in grayling Michigan ! thank you for this video

We have a 6 month old Great Pyrenees mix puppy, and she's VERY similar in behavior to Susie. Our girl is mixed with a German Shepherd though so she has the coloring of a German Shepherd, but all the other physical characteristics of a Pyrenees.

Really well done! Stumbled on this. Fan of the canoe route, fur trade HBC history and more. Also folllowed Sol's racing exploits having grown up in Michigan. Nice to learn about the cultures. Very facinating. I paddled across Canada to the Arctic ocean solo in 98 and met a lot of Cree, Dog Rib and Inuits along the way.....really liked the culture. Thank you!
