This small variant, and the last big block version of the Evinrude G2 was and to this day still is the best outboard ever produced. With proper rigging and good fuel these motors provide a fantastic boating experience. I really hope some how Evinrude comes back with a vengeance. The G2 was not given a fair chance and got stopped before it really had a chance to prove itself

Those little G2s are fantastic! So upset we lost the G2s and Evinrude. I wish BRP good luck with the Rotax but my dealer won’t be allowed to sell Rotax so unfortunately I’m going to be switching brands.

Great boats, I priced them against Lund, Crestliner, and Alumacraft, and when it comes to price/quality, the value here can’t be beat, so I bought one last week.

That's way slow for a new 115 e tec especially on a lightweight 17 foot vessel should be closer 50 mph or at least high 40s even with 2 big dudes

I have a question regarding propellers, you guys may know: I managed to get a 140hp g2. I now know that the gear case is 4.25. How many splines are there in the axle? Is there a michigan or solas etc hubkit that fits? RX3/RX4 14.5 propellers fit but I would need a 25” 3-blade.

I just about cry when I see these videos, as I was just going to repower my old sea nymph deck boat with one.. and then, BRP told us all to F*** off. IMO, its a much better design than all of the 4 stroke offerings out there, especially with the one button winterizing and 50A dedicated charging output, but now its just a memory of something that was.
