I'm Aussie with Korean wife. Korean's don't say hi or morning to each other or open a door etc. Korean's think it's rude to interrupt, whereas Westerners think it's rude to ignore.... On the flip side, when Koreans do know you, they like having big get togethers and sharing food and drinks...

defintly ny mentality im down south and people talk to me say hi and im not used to that. ive been brought up in a cold world we don't speak unless you need something or selling something so most times I keep it moving lol

It really depends on where you lived in America. Due to work, I've lived in multiple cities and probably one place where people mind their own business is, Washington DC.

In the south in the US, people talk to strangers like that. In the North, New Jersey, New York, that's not happening at all. In the south though, people go much further with their hospitality than just talking and speaking. People will go out of their way to help you.

In Japan, everything is organized. Everything is according to Kaizen. It has a placement and organize.

Americans are very kind that way, at least in the south. Southern Hospitality is a real thing (or at least used to be - idk how it is now, I'll assume it doesn't exist in the same way it used to). Where I am in Canada now, it's not the same. No hospitality-minded people. Nice (fake) people instead of kind people. Next door neighbours stay away from their neighbours here. No one talks on the streets unless they are selling you something. Communities are completely divided, even by race. Migrants have filled every neighbourhood (I had to stop the muslims next door from setting fires a few days ago while the parents just sat there with vacant expressions). Cultures should never mix.
