@scotthumphrey1212 I just realized that my message was uncohesive and confusing. I didn't double check when I sent it. Yes I'm almost done with path to carcosa. I watch you play it first so I could figure it out a little then played it myself. Don't worry no spoilers I had my own adventure.

Also, I played forgotten age before but only got to scenario 3. I saw the guys on the Covenant channel play it but I don't remember it. I love the way you make it into a story. I can listen to it while doing other things because you "paint" such a clear picture. Thank you so much for all the efforts in making the game feel alive!

Fair warning that some of the campaigns have, uh, less-than-optimal deckbuilding. 😅 But that's 100% been my intention with Doomed -- to add flavor to help the narrative leap off the page. True solo (and two-handed!) have been amazing for that, because often the relationships between investigator and ally can be super intimate... and sometimes we ARE alone against the Mythos. I’ll keep an eye out about feedback and comment here and there. As for my favorite moments from my own campaigns: I had this 4p run of TDL where I was playing Ursula Downs and me and the team were about to win Extracurricular Activities, I asked the team for one more turn so I could finish researching Archaic Glyphs. I explained how Ursula just wants to know more and cares about that more than safety and how she tried to convince Jenny to hold off on that investigation (which in hindsight would’ve been to hold off on alerting the students, Woops!). Jenny’s player reluctantly agreed. We had an ancient evils pop up during mythos and that ended the scenario in catastrophic failure. Oh and Jenny had Charon’s Obol so she died. From then on, the team never listened to Ursula again, but no matter, she didn’t need a team. She would go off on her own exploring faster than anyone could set up. Oh, and Ursula’s basic weakness was The Tower so she often couldn’t help people out anyway, so she was always on her own. Kind of a weird dynamic for our first campaign but it made total sense. Actually, Dunwich is the only full campaign I’ve played so far. I want to have my blind runs be with my gaming group and it took us a year to go through the campaign. The gaming group is not just the 4 of us so we would spread out our Arkham sessions and have regular game nights most of the time. We will start Carcosa “imminently” (which could be in 1 to 6 weeks). I'm building a Bob Jenkins deck for that run, it's gonna be great. After playing my blind run with them, I played through TDL two-handed in 3 weeks. There, my characters were Father Mateo and Preston Fairmont They knew each other from before but unexpectedly met at La Bella Luna as Mateo was investigating the disappearances. Since they went through the events of the night together and actually Father Mateo was defeated, Preston stuck around to help him. Mateo was displeased at first, but he started to feel this urge to draw blood, something that hadn’t happened in years. His basic weakness was Dark Pact (from Forgotten Age). He knew that at some point the urge would become too great and he would have to spill his own blood or someone else’s, not enough to kill, just enough to satisfy his masters. So he let Preston hang around in case it needed to be him that bled. I kept waiting for the moment where it would make the most sense to use Dark Pact on Preston and see where that would lead. But it never happened. The Father was able to stay his hand and stab himself quietly whenever the urge became unbearable. The pair made a pretty good team and there was a nice moment in the last scenario where Father Mateo let Preston go by helping him cross a cosmic gap (there was a willpower test to move from their location to the resign location) and telling him to run ahead while he had to stay for an extra turn, knowing he might not be able to return to the world. But nothing bad came up and he also lived. Oh man, I didn’t know I would end up writing this much. I bet it looks longer than it reads. In any case, i finished your RttNotZ run. On to Return to Dunwich. I’m excited!

@@scotthumphrey1212 Exactly! I also warned the team that keeping the Necronomicon would probably be bad because there are no free lunches in this game but that Ursula would totally argue to keep it. The team decided to keep it and immediately regretted it, specially our Shriveling mystic Akachi, who would have to deal with more symbols in the bag.

Appreciate the feedback! Even as a relatively seasoned improviser I still struggle to be super quick on the draw when I'm also strategizing in game... Tough challenge! 😋 I love the creeping dread in Arkham, personally, but I hear ya in terms of the excitement too. Check out Drawn to the Flame's "Think on your Feet: series-- Frank is a much faster player than me!

I did refer to it as a "Solo RPG" MANY times in this video, but I should be super clear that it can be played with others as well! There are a few games I've come across that are billed specifically as solo RPGs, and this isn't one of them -- but I was so freaking excited to try it out :D

You got me! Silas managed go find his harpoon and net during his journey, but if memory serves, he wasn't too fond of spending the resources necessary to use them.... 😂

@@scotthumphrey1212 But harpoon and net is essential and core mechanics for him. With both of these you can dump 10 skills cards into a test, and return all of them to hand after the test.

@Wojtek Wiatr 100% I realize now I misspoke earlier -- because of the story I wanted to tell through Innsmouth I decided to go with his alternative signatures, purely for thematic reasons. (Plus Nautical Prowess is great!) You're right that the net and harpoon are super effective for Silas to be able to commit a bunch of icons and then bring them back... but for this streamed playthrough focusing on storytelling, it wasn't the path I chose.
