We like to learn hard, play hard, eat well and connect with our students for a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. The quality of tuition is paramount to us, as is our desire to keep having fun and sharing our love of all things sailing.

Good job
Three questions: When you fill your head (10-12 pumps), does it fill up a ways with water? Our new head seems to not, and every other manual head I’ve ever used has put more water in it than this one. Is something wrong? Also, what actually does happen IF the switch is not turned back to the dry side when finished? And of course, are these heads “designed” to handle toilet paper? On every sailboat I’ve ever lived or worked on, there’s been a strict “no TP” policy in the head but on the new boat I just bought, my fiance is insistant that we put toilet paper down it, yet this is the first one he’s ever used, and I’ve used dozens over decades. Any advice on that one? Thanks!!
You block it you clean it. Amazing how that focuses the attention 😊
I have seen a fender that was tied with a simple clove hitch, such as this, fall off the a because wave and water action on the fender caused the clove hitch to work itself loose! Better to add two half hitches or use a round turn and two half hitches! Thanks!
Brilliantly explained. Thanks
Lagoon 440 pump toilet
You guys made some good videos! I hope all is well...
I know I'm 5 years late, but does the pump draw water from the holding tank or does it draw raw water?
Mine draws water from the lake, 1988 Sea Ray 300 Sundancer
Well, Only if a dive boat toilet would be really similar to this one.
All that pumping,, you get a workout from just relieving yourself.
Definitely need some grease for that 👍
That's too much work dude. I'll hold it or piss in the water.
What happens if it gets clogged? I eat a lot of fiber.😂
Good question. Same here 😉
Thanks!!!!
Since yachts cost so damn much, can't the manufacturers install cruise liner toilets? You just push a button and that's it, none of that pumping nonsense!
Can bathroom facilities being installed on a large hovercraft such as a SR N4? Would the install work the same as a yacht?
Your music is a tad loud...
Do you always fill up with water after emptying?
Thank guy
Works great until you drop the lifeline to get out of the boat, now all your fenders drop too.
Why cant we just use standard home flush toilets?
What type of knot is best for the other end at the fender?
I use a Figure-8 stopper knot.
An Ashley’s (oysterman’s) stopper is a great balanced knot for that application.

So the waste just empties out into the ocean/ lake/ river ?
Rivers_of_Blood Marshal - No, the waste goes to a black water tank that is later emptied at approved locations.
As a lady getting ready to join the navy, this video was very useful.
popa andreea as a follow petty officer I wish you the best!
Finally one good video with a fender. All other videos are showing the knot without a fender from a perspective as if they are facing the fender and they are so confusing.
Brilliant perspective
Straight to the point. Fantastic. Thanks.
very useful thanks
the actual video does not start until 0:16. Stop that annoying music. Otherwise useful info
10 pumps to rinse !!! naaaaaa
Do you really need to see how to wear a lifejacket???
Yes. Those of us who are beginners need to
but where exactly does the poop go? Just kidding. I'm looking to upgrade my boat and i was wondering about this. My next issue is making a pump out station at home...
Thank you so much! Simple and to the point. Now we know how to use our toilet.
So does the poop just go in to the water? What if you are moored at a marina? Do they allow people to pump their toilets in to the water?
It goes into a holding tank which can then be pumped out using suction at a waste station in a marina.
Do all boats have holding tanks or do "Sea Toilets" just go straight out into the sea or canal?
Depends whether you installed a holding tank or not.
@@Booksbyphilmitchell Al boats have holding tanks.
@@TOMVUTHEPIMP Not true.
A close up of the open and shut valve would help. So you pump when it's on the light side of that valve we can't see and then put it to the black side?
thanks, Just bought a used boat, everything is new, got to learn from the very beginning!
Thank you.Your videos are really easy to understand. More please!
Good tip thanks!
Hey- This truly is the mos tinformative video I've seen. You actually explain and show users what to do. Thank you!
