VW transporter t5 Diesel heater installation
What a great power supply for the heater. The heater runs better than ever on it. Nice also xbox 360 you can have an on off switch by two wires gives amber and then green on.
Amazing
Did it work
@@finno123456 still working to this day
Good one, I was going to score a power supply I've got a few lying around
Thanks mate
Add tumble dryer sheets to outlet smells amazing
Just been pulling and pushing and wondering how it was meant to be moved. I’ll try again now 😂
Hope you subscribed now lol
This is how it is in my T5 lights NOT what it says in the hand book, I have to change out my LED bulbs for normal bulbs for the mot each year then change them back 😡 standard T5 headlights are downright dangerous even updated halogen bulbs don’t make much difference.
Thank you saved me some serious head scratching!
I get a error 2, wich means it get a bit of overvoltage, but it starts the second time i switch it on
You can do this with a PC power pack two but just make sure it says the input is AC and that the output is DC because otherwise it’s not gonna work if it’s AC to AC the output Hass to be DC alternating current because otherwise the diesel heater is just going to run and then as soon as it fires up the fan blade is going to shut off and then you’re gonna lose power to the whole entire thing and then it’s gonna turn back on and it’s just gonna continue doing that so make sure y’all have the output DC current
The Chinese pH draws over 10amps on start up on some models so you just need the 12v with a draw of up to 15amps be wary as those xbox converters do sometimes fail
WHY TF does it take so long to explain something so simple?
Thanks for watching. Don't forget to subscribe.
just seen this Si....... great idea!!!!
3.33 I think they did that after the 3007 floods same as meadow Hall I was there that day with my young son, we acutely got out just in time, I reamer the police had started to shut the roads down, I had to drive up brightside lane and could see the water coming towards me. It was unreal all I could think about was my young son..
Yes I remember all brightside lane badly flooded with cars floating down it. Glad you got your son home safe.
Look at all the waste on the water paths blocking the water at the bridge... where are the maintenance services?
Totally agree. It doesn't help with the flooding.
Thank god I was out of school before this
That was that boring I would of fallen to sleep if that terrible music wasent playing
Abba said the say. Thank you for the music.
How about the pc charger ??
Sorry I can't say because I've not tried one.
👍.. Great stuff. Was that this morning? I had a rough do in the tent Sunday under salt cellar rock... Keep the appearances coming..
Yes this morning. Thought the van was going lift off
There you are! Kudos to appearing on camera Si. I't something I'm too scared to do on mine at the moment but I will one of these days. Those sheep love that van of yours LOL.. Wonder what Jan thought of the edge? You deffo sounded more upbeat! which is brilliant to hear. We must do some vids at the meetup in October. I might even bite the bullet and appear on one of mine.
Positive thinking my friend.

Wnt up Derwent Edge last night... Collected rubbish too on my way back... If u drop rubbish in a city you'll drop it anywhere... Sad. Nothing left as it is.... Keep uploading 👍
Thanks for commenting. It's such a sad world people have no respect for nature.
Gday, do you think the Xbox 360 power pack with 12v 12.6 amps output do the job without problem? Thanks for any advice Macca
Gday sport. Sorry but I carnt say. All I can say is buy a second hand one and try.
Sounds like enough amps on dc side try it . Mine is 14 amps on dc side and works just fine .
Don't use anything that is cheap & Unreliable because if it stops working or if you have a power cut for only two seconds & Don't have a battery back up you can say goodbye to your diesel heater , The diesel heater has to do a turn off cycle where it turns on the glow plug & heats up the burn chamber to burn off all the diesel in the chamber then it turns the fan on to run very quickly to cool down the camber before it closes down , If it has not done this it can damage the motherboard & other parts .
A Microsoft power supply I would say is far from unreliable than the stuff which is out there, but saying that what is reliable these days and I do agree with you if you live in a place which has regular power cuts is to have a battery. But this video wasn't about that.
Do you think he’s watched it back himself and realise you can’t hear him because of the music volume
It was along time ago when editing wasn't my key features lol
Useful to know. I used an old power unit from a PC. They need a simple rewire on an output to give 12 volts but there a e loads of YT videos how to do it. Been running my diesel heater from one for a year.
Thanks for commenting
That was my thought. You just have to jump the two wires to turn it on. I think even a standard one puts out like 15 amps or more of 12v
❤
Top man saved me loads of time thank you
Thanks for taking the time to comment. While you have the cover off put some oil down the cable I found it to help.
Brill thank you mate
Glad it helped
Thanks bud, saves a lot of time and head scratching👍
Feel sorry for this video... Mumbling took over...forgot what he wanted to demonstrate
I’ve probably watched all the under seat Installations on utube and I must say yours is the best out of all of them so thank you

Great video m8 helped out trying to figure out where to put it cheers
Yes I thought I had a faulty heater because the fan wouldn’t spin, turned out I over tightened the unit to an un even floor and the whole unit warped
Thanks mate
If you have got from factory vw windows they leak in to thease areas. Mine are real bad and leak onto my electrical bits. Will clean seals and hope it sorts it 👍👍

Good god you Yorkshire men do gone on get on with the job

Thank you ... no way was I getting this off without this type of help.
Thanks for the comment 👍
hi, thanks for this info. Found my plastic funnel thing just hanging half way down the door, not doing much at all. Need to try and re-attach it. Hope the Diall plastic bottle insulation has worked better on that door, I'm doing the same this week..
And that's not the only thing to pay attention to. I always found the door dripping in the morning after a cold night (with no rain). Turns out I left quite a bit of the metal uncovered with self-adhesive insulation, and that would gather condensation. Enough to drip few times when I open the door. That was probably the only place with exposed metal except the windows which are all "sweaty" in the morning. So make sure all the exterior-facing metal is covered in insulation. Leaving the window cracked open or installing a vent is the best choice to prevent condensation when used as campervan. I also used Silica dehumidifiers, but they can't cope with 2 people breating.
Thanks for sharing 👍. Safe travels.
Mines getting stealth conversion so this is brilliant gen 👍🏻 thanks
Nice job. How’s it going ? Has the wrap on the exhaust kept the plastics safe ?
Thanks. The wrap done well.
Thanks for the videos. Interested in where you positioned and aimed the exhaust pipe for the heater? Does it get close to those plastic trays?
Drill hole through plastic and wrap exhaust
Think you should check the date mate it’s still 2019!
Thanks for the heads up.
Crikey you don't want to play Poo sticks there.
Nar lad. If you know anyone who's selling a boat let me know.
